Please discuss. I say "why not?". Anyone with inside info, or something old I am unaware of?

Don't know, but it would seem logical. I would probably buy one, but what I'd really like to see is a MK45.

I would think, especially with the Springfield XDs coming out at a lower price than the PM45, that Kahr would be all over it. I will buy one right now. :D

If it makes financial sense to Kahr I suppose they might do it. If it does not they won't.

well, yeah, of course, but the CM9 seems to making financial sense.

my bet is on for a cm45. Just makes so so much sense.

I am of the strong opinion that the CM45 will be Kahr's next new model.

So far our predictions have been correct. CM9, now there's a CM40 hitting the streets, a CM45 can't be too far behind. Might be a little bit longer, wasn't it about a year between the CM9 and the CM40 or a tad longer?
I don't think it's a matter of if, I think it's just a matter of when.

big bullets means gigantic gun, Just sayin..
The cm45 would hide easily---UNDER AN ELEPHANTS EAR.

Really now?
XDs
length: 6.3"
Width 0.9"
Height w/mag: 4.4"
weight: 21.5 oz
CM9
Length 5.42"
Height: 4.0" (doesn't say with mag or not)
Slide Width: .90"
Weight 14 0z
PM45
Length: 5.79"
Height: 4.49"
Slide Width: 1.01"
Weight: 17.3 oz
So, in regards to the XDs, we are talking about a .45 that is roughly half an inch longer than a CM9, mostly because of a 3.3" barrel vs. the Kahr's 3.0" barrel, weighs 6.0 oz more, and the other dimensions are pretty much the same. Even LESS difference (basically nil) with the current PM45, which would be the exact same dimesnions as a CM45.
So, tell me again why a .45 would have to be huge?

It's personal lowroad. Think of me as Elmer Keith (quite a stretch) and Jocko as Jack O'Connor (equally large stretch). I like 45's, he like 9's.
The XD will no doubt be in the same size category as the PM45 or CM45 if they come out.
I carry a PM45, but I have large ears.

I too have large ears. "like a taxi cab with it's doors open" as my grandpa used to say.
jocko

still almost 25% heavier than the kahr 45. Jack O'Connor ismy great uncle. Elmer Keith is kinfolk to Elmer Fudd, if that tells u anything.

I think so too. I think they should make at least one just for you.
I don't suppose if I chipped in say 5 bucks that would make the PM45 cheaper enough? Just a thought.

Go ahead and send the five bucks and let's see what happens.
Remember: a 9mm won't always expand, but a 45 never shrinks.

You know, you might be on to something. The best way to get the CM45 produced, is for me to go out and buy a PM45. I guarantee within a month of me shelling out the extra dough, they will announce the the release of the cheaper and just as effective CM version!

I've finally found my twin brother separated at birth. Does Uncle Murphy have time to follow you around any as much as he follows me around?
Most things I want I find they sold the last one yesterday and won't be any more for a year.

That is why I would never waste my time or life on anything smaller than a 45.

I compared dimensions a while back and found that the XDs is closest to the P45/CW45. The PM45 is actually quite a bit smaller.
IMO, all these guns are too big for pocket carry, so will be carried on the waist. In that location, the larger guns are still very compact and concealable, so there is no reason to go for the smaller PM45. The PM45 and XDs carry 5+1 rounds. The P45 and CW45 carry 6+1 rounds. The CW45 can be purchased right now for < $350. Case closed! Go for the CW45! :D

probably a good pointon the waist band carry, none of those mentioned will matterin that mode of carry. I think lighter is much better when in ones pocket but on the side no so important. The cm45 will be a hot seller when it hits the open market, size, price, quality , weight, all positives for the kahrs.
I heard on the news tonight that the young American african boy that was shot in sanford ,florida was on 2 week suspension from his school for having "mary jane" in his school bag. HUMM the plot again thickens!!!! Just sayin

I agree about the CW45. In fact, it's is my most frequently carried pistol OWB. However, back when I had a PM45 I often carried it in a inside jacket pocket. This was quite convenient in a leather jacket when I was riding my bike where a belt carry was not appropriate because it would show below the jacket. I also found it handy to carry in a sports coat.

With the PM45 not being legal in CA and even if they tried to now it would require the safety, etc., I would think Kahr must be pushing ahead on the CM45 with extras. If I can swing it I'm an early buyer fer sure.

I'm not sure if this thread is dead because the question has been answered, but if it hasn't I can tell you that Kahr confirmed a planned release aimed for this summer in an email to me.
