I bought a brand new P380 recently. I cleaned and oiled it thoroughly and took it to the range. I was using Winchester FMJ 95 grain target bullets from Walmart. They have a flat, tapered nose. They fed well BUT the slide locked back on almost each shot.....I shot 50.
The slide lock lever spring was pushing the lever UP instead of down.
I read failure threads on this forum and found one where the slide lever was "polished" by Kahr. I took mine out and saw the machining BURRS that kept the lever spring from rising to its proper position as the Kahr videos insist.
That lever was not polished by Kahr, it was deburred as it should have been in the first place.
Before you send your Kahr back for the same problem, check the lever for the burrs.
