I went to pick up another 10 boxs of PMC 115 gr 9mm ball ammo today and my supply ran out. It always shot good for range fodder, I can still get Rem UMC 115 gr for about $12 a box and its always shot good too. I have chronographed both out of my PM9 and they was both about the same, 1030 fps... just a mild cheap range load that shot good and ran good. Anymore PMC that I get is going to be at least $2 more a box, I was getting fond of the PMC at $11 a box!
I seen they had a bunch of Lellier & Bellot 115gr FMJ for $11.50 a box... I picked up 2 boxes to try it out. It might even be hotter its made in the Czech Republic, I think they load nato specs? Work today so I'll chronograph some tomorrow. Gotta love 9mm's and cheap ammo!

I last bought Sellier & Bellot from Cabelas at $9.79 per box, with a $20 off $150 coupon. You may want to check out sites like Slickguns or Slickdeals (search for ammo) to find deals.
Last one I saw was Cabelas with the REM UMC for $10.50 per box, free shipping over $49.

No Walmart near you? Inexpensive Federal Champion there. My hand loads are costing me $12/100 using range brass and Berrys plated 124gr.
Oh I forgot, plus my time.

I just ordered 1000 rounds of various calibers from this place. Lots of reviews on You Tube of their products.
Reasonable and good shipping rates.

I bought a bunch of that PMC over a year ago for $9 a box on sale from Cabelas w/ free shipping. That's the only way to buy from there because they are expensive otherwise. Every round fired.

Thanks for the tips on Cabelas and free shipping. I'll check that out, they just built a new Cabelas about 2.5 hrs up I-5 from me, first nice day that would make a good motorcycle ride.

I don't know how you feel about steel cased ammo but I had really good luck with Tula and Monarch (Academy brand) before I started reloading. Both were right around $9 a box.

I've used Tulammo in my LC9, and M&P40 a lot without issue. However, first round in my CW45 got jammed. Ended up giving the entire box to a guy next to me at the range...

Shot the Sellier & Bellot 115 gr FMJ today, it all fed 100%. The ammo was a little longer then the PMC and UMC and I thought it might be long enough to hang up in the magazine, but it all ran good.
I noticed on the web that someone was selling the Sellier & Bellot that was marked police, and they said it was hotter so after seeing that I didn't expect what I had to be any hotter then typical range fodder. I was supprized when I ran it over the crono that it ran quite a bit faster. I clocked some PMC and UMC 115 gr before out of the small PM9 and they both ran about 1030 fps... The S&B 115 gr was running 1103 average for 12 shots, tossed one high one and tossed one low one. Thats right up there with my full power 115 gr reloads
So for $11.50 a box local, I stocked up on a few more boxes. Gotta love 9mms and cheap ammo! :D

My friend's CW45 was somewhat picky about ammo until he shot a couple hundred rounds through it. After that it would eat pretty much anything without a problem.

It's sad that we call that cheap these days. In 2005 WWB was $11 per 100 at wally world.

With the way prices keep going up, it looks like I may start casting my own lead bullets!
Are lead bullets and Kahr pistols a good or bad mix? I know Glock specifically tells people not to shoot lead bullets through their barrels.

As far as I know the P series pistols have polygonal rifling like Glock and don't play nice with cast bullets. The C series use standard rifling and CAN be used with cast bullets. I cast for my .45 and even with buying lead (ebay) my total loaded cost is right at $4 a box.

Ken_K -- thanks for the intel. Since my two Kahr pistols are the T9 and the TP45, I guess I'll have to learn about electro-plating in addition to casting. Lucky for me, I found a youtube video that teaches how to build the setup and do the copper plating.

If you want to reload you can get the plated Berry bullets for $83 a thousand. I shot a lot of them in my .40 and they always shot good. That makes reloading around $7 a box. But I think its nice that I have one pistol thats cheap enough to shoot that I don't have to reload for it, thats way I like 9mm's.

Thats like finding gas for under $4 a gal anymore... seems like the more money they make out of thin air the less our dollar will buy. Strange how I get a smaller box of cereal anymore, and then its only 1/2 full!

You know I just noticed that the other day. I bought some cereal for the first time in probably a year and the box seemed pretty small for the price, then I opened it and thought "half a bag? I got screwed!" lol.
