Just got my new silent thunder IWB holster for the CM9. I have a question for you more experienced holster junkies. When I re-holster, the muzzle end of the slide hits the end of the holster first and stops. The frame continues for about 1/8th of an inch, partially racking the slide. I don't like this. It makes me uncomfortable. Instead of the nice satisfying click when the gun is holstered, it just kind of mushes it's way in.

I've adjusted the tension screws every which way, and it doesn't get rid of this. It's not the sights hitting. It's the end of the slide around the muzzle. Should I be concerned about this, or is it not an issue. The holster retains the gun very nicely. I just like the feedback of a nice click as the trigger guard snaps into place. This one does not do that.

Anyone else who has this holster notice this? Is this normal for this holster. If not, can these be remolded with a hair dryer, or does the leather lining preclude doing this?
I know, I know... call them and ask them. Just thought I'd ask here first.

It is not right. Mine doesn't move the slide any and has that quiet thump when settled. I suggest calling Sheryl Garrett (nice lady) at 281-703-4459 and she will take care of your problem pronto. They stand behind their holsters better than any other I've found.

Yes! IMHO it is something to be concerned about. Your gun might not fire if it is out of battery, I would not trust the draw to put it into battery.

The holster you have is a quality built holster,. Contact the maker and I'm pretty certain your issue will be taken care of.

We hear give them a call all the time but in this case the call will be pleasant. Both Ron and Sheryl and one other person I can't remember the name of are stand up people.

I'm not totally clear on what the issue is but they will make it right. I have 2 (So far) and they don't click in, I'm not sure mushy is the right word but they retain very well and do not push my slide at all.

No questions asked they will make it right. I've only emailed and they get back to me pretty quick too. Ron is a member here too so he might be along before you can get hold of him.

Just an update. I actually decided to see if the blow dryer would work on this holster. I heated up the rim of the opening at the muzzle end of the kydex and pressed the slide into the holster as hard as I could. Problem solved. It's no longer almost perfect, It's perfect. Snaps right into place. Holds it nice and firm. No more slide racking when re-holstering.

Very comfortable worn at about 3:30. Holds the CM9 in perfect position standing, sitting, bending. Such a small footprint, it's easy to conceal without printing. I really think I'm gonna love this thing.

Good for you Deano! I have an extractor rub and that's what Ron said he'd do when he got it back. He confirmed he'd stand behind it if I tried it myself. It was easy and simple. Tip... the holster is molded around a blank fully inserted. In my case of the extractor rub, I pulled the gun out a bit and formed it around the extractor, then repeated until the extractor space was there all the way. No rub since.
