View Full Version : 9mm reloads for CW9 ?
Anybody shot reloads with their CW9 ? I've just ordered 1,000 rounds of reload for my CW9 and was just wondering if anybody else had issues with reloads.

I shoot my own reloads in my CM9. I originally had an issure with the OAL of the reloaded bullet was too long. This caused a cycling problem and sometines they wouldn't eject. Sometimes they wouldn't chamber properly either. If your purchased reloads that do not function in your gun the problem can be corrected with a quick reprocessing of the ammo by a reloading buddy. Let us know here on the forum if they do not function in your gun. If they work the first mag load, they will work through the full batch of 1000. Good Luck. Correctly made reloads are not a problem.

I have shot about 2000 rounds of MBI reloads with no problems in my CW9.

I would think possably the only issue that could be with reloads is the OAL thing. other than that, kahrs are now ammo sensitive. I think I would rather reload my own though. Just sayin. I wanna blow my gun up becuase I focked up, not because u did it for me. Just sayin.

+1 Jocko. The only reloads that I trust are my own and sometimes I'm not so sure about them. :)

Not something I'd do, shoot unknown reloads, or gunshow reloads.
With 9mm ammo being the cheapest available as bulk NEW, how much could you be saving?
You said "ordered" and may even be paying shipping too:eek:.
If you're new to shooting and want to shoot more, buying a 22LR pistol to shoot will quickly pay for itself with ammo savings over shooting your CW9.
That and if your gun blows up shooting a major brand of ammo (it won't too many checks/test during mfg.) you have a better chance getting them to pay for a new gun:D
just sayin'

I have used about 50 rounds of HSM factory reloads, 115 gr. in my CW9 with no problems.

My 9mm hand loads cost me $12/100 and 45acp $17/100. I'd say that's a significant savings. My PM9 eats them up as fast as I can load. I load them long 1.150 for 9mm and 1.250 for 45acp.

So what do these reloads cost per 100?
What/who is HSM or MBI, I'd like to check them out, do you have links?

I put a bunch of Remington 115gr JHP reloads through my CW9 today as part of the break in procedure. It shot them fine just like the cheap Monarch FMJ and WW 100 pack FMJ.
Because the CW9 has conventional rifling (rather than polygonal) I will probably try some of my LRN reloads because I can make them dirt cheap.

I got mine for $159.00 + $12.50 shipping = 1,000 RN FMJ 9mm
from Jack Ross. Or try Freedom munition. Google them.

Jack Ross..that stuff looks to be plated, NOT FMJ
And that 9mm stuff is out of stock.
Google them and add "reviews" to your search for both:behindsofa:

HSM about 20 per hundred. I'd like to buy them in case of 1000 but the LGS doesn't have them in right now. They would be a bit cheaper by the case.
