I went to the range with my to new guns. A CW9 and a Taurus TCP .380ACP pocket gun. I put 100 rounds through both. I had all kinds of problems hitting the target with the CW9. I had no issues with the smaller Taurus. I don't know if it's the trigger or the bar sights. I plan to go this week and only take the CW9 to focus on it only and see what I can figure out.

I'm gonna bet you it's the trigger. Lots of folks come here after shooting their new Kahrs and complain they're Low and Left. It's the trigger, welll, more accurately the trigger-puller.

Keep working with it, you'll get used to it and you will learn to love it.

How would compare the two triggers? Is the Taurus trigger similar to that of a firearm you already own and have been shooting well?

I just bought a TCP. Haven't got to the range, yet, but dry firing it I find the gun pleasantly point and shootable, and I love the trigger! Now, I love my CM9, but I'm betting I'll be more accurate with the TCP. Each will have it's place in my rotation, but I am very pleased with the modest investment I made in the TCP! :)

I also recently purchased a CW9 and my range time is not what I am use to. I am a 1911 shooter and am very accustomed to the single action short pull trigger. My EMP 9mm has a 3.25 Lb trigger pull. The trigger on the CW9 is a very long pull and probably 6-7 Lbs. My hits were low left at first but with constant dry firing I am getting better. Might buy the Crimson Trace laser to help me develop good shooting habits with the CW9 since it is now my carry gun.

well no doubt going from a 1911 to a kahr is like having sex in the 3rd row of a 747. NOT PLEASANT but hopefully it will get better with more practice. Just sayin.

My CW9 and TCP have a similar length and weight of trigger. The TCP has more overtravel than the CW9 and a little more "sproingy" feeling. Most of the difference in feel is likely due to the steel trigger of the CW9. Both of mine shoot to POA at combat distances.

The trigger pull length is long on both. I think the TCP breaks sooner than the CW9 but it's also smaller. I'm going to try to get to the range this week and put another 100 or so rounds through it this week provided the wife lets me get away for a few hrs. It's probably going to just take practice I have 2 glocks 2 xd's and the TCP so I have a range of triggers to get use to I've just never shot this bad before.

I've put around 300 rounds through my CW9 and have found the trigger to be fantastic from the first round. If anything, I'm just a tad high but no big deal.

When I go from my 1911 to my CW9, I feel like I have to pull the trigger into the next county.

when I go from my CW9 to my 1911, I feel like the gun goes off as soon as my thinks about starting to pull the trigger.

Seriously, got my CW9 as one of my first guns. I didn't shoot well at all. Then I put 1000 rounds through a glock 17, focusing on the basics. When I picked up the Kahr again, I was much more accurate. So for me, the Kahr was difficult gun to learn to shoot with, but a fine gun for an experienced shooter.

Following up on my earlier post. After several tips to the range and a lot of dry firing at home, my accuracy has greatly improved and I feel confident using it as my daily carry gun. It was simply getting the feel of the long trigger pull on the Kahrs and learning how to control it. Very happy with my CW9.
