I am going to Moab, UT in May to do some off-roading.
I figured maybe I could do some target shooting while I am there.

I searched the web and Utah's BLM site for information. I found information about target shooting for the Salt Lake and St. George field offices, but nothing in the Moab field office.

Does anyone know with certainty whether the same rules regarding target shooting apply in both the Salt Lake and the Moab field offices?

Can anyone point me to an official resource for this information?

I did send an e-mail to the Moab Field Office address, and I intend to call them. But I was hoping someone here knows.

Thanks!

Just found this:
http://www.blm.gov/pgdata/etc/medialib/blm/ut/moab_fo/misc_.Par.94478.File.dat/FirearmsMFO.pdf

The rules can be summarized thusly:
1. Don't shoot anywhere near civilization,
2. Don't shoot at trash,
3. Pick up your trash,
4. No incendiary/exploding stuff, and
5. Don't be a ****.

As far as I know, shooting is perfectly legal on all BLM land, same with National Forests. I've done it on both and have hunted on both, though Moab may be a bit different as it is an offroader's mecca.
