My son in law and I went shooting Sunday. He had his Glock 17 and brought my K9 and Llama Max 1. The target was 14 inch by 14 inch from ten yards out. I shot 50 rounds of PMC 115 grain with the K9 he shot some PMC and Remington 115 grain with his Glock. We both shot 50 rounds between us of Remington 230 grain with the .45.
The K9 fired without a single malfunction and I had no problem hitting the target with the exception of me throwing a few shots. I still have to try and not shoot low, but that is getting better as well. I shot a mag with the Glock 17 and my son in law shot one through my Kahr as well. We split time with the .45. The only malfunctions on the day was one stovepipe with the Glock 17 and one failure to go into battery on the .45.
Both malfunctions occurred when my son in law was shooting so I can't say if it was a wrist issue or ammo maybe related. I will say that 150 rounds with only two malfunctions is still a pretty good day.

How did the Glock compare to the K9?

Hi Mike,
Really I must say that you can tell they are both quality handguns. The trigger pull on the Glock is not as long and they both break nicely. I have to say that the Glock trigger is closer to what I have been shooting. I like the Kahrs feel when it comes to weight and balance more so then the Glock. I don't have real big hands and the Kahr just feels more like a part of me then the Glock or the .45 for that matter. I will say that If someone asked what I would recommend, it would be try both out as I do feel the Kahr and the Glock are both good handguns.

Just another note, it felt like the K9 had less recoil then the Glock as well. Neither was bad and I could shoot them both until my wallet was empty for ammo. :)

I had my K9 (NYPD Trade-in) out yesterday. All I have to say is: SWEET SHOOTER.

Changed out the striker and recoil spring for peace of mind.
So much more comfy and stable. Emptied 3 mags from holster draw and rapid fire. POA all within the COM at 10yds. I am so pleased with this gun. It shoots so much better (for me) than my CM9.

Yeah, I know it's not all that great but for me, it's awesome. Still learning the trigger.

Hi Tinman, I think that target is around 12inchx12inch? If that is the case I would call that effective shooting at 10 yards. Looks pretty good to me as you and I both are getting used to the trigger system.

I think it's 16x16 or 18x18. Don't have one handy to measure.
I don't post too many of my targets coz they haven't been all that great. My CM9 is so flippy it's all over the place. Low Left is an understatement.
I am really loving this K9. Best purchase I've made so far.

Drawing and rapid fire, that's great. COM. That'll get the job done.

I'm jealous. I would be absolutely thrilled if that were a target from a 10 yard shooting session using one of my carry guns.

Just got back from the range again. Shot the Bersa .380, Llama .45, and my K9. Like Tinman I don't take allot of target pics but I thought what the heck. The first one is all three guns from 7 and 10 yards and the second just a couple of mags through the K9 at 7 yards. The good news I have got the low shooting thing sorted out, the bad news at least to the wife I still need tons of practice.

Very nice!

What are those grey spots, without bullet holes, I see on the first target?

Hi bill that's tape I put over holes so I can see any new holes. I only Scotch tape so it makes the holes look gray.

I figured they were target bruises from the .380

I could see that Tinman not much power, but it is a great little shooter. The sites are great for me and my aging eyes.

caused by the 380, more than likely from 45 bruises. If one would only read on the 45 box, it tells u to never put up a paper target over 3 plys thick, for the rounds just bounce off and leave what u seen. "Bruise marks". Just sayin I could be wrong on the 3 plys stuff, it might have been 4 plys as I was trying to read th 45 box from in front of the Wal mart counter, and the 45 boxes had so so much dust onthem from NO SALES, where as the 9mm sitting right next to them was brite and shinny. Just sayin.
