Originally I was taken by a April fools day joke.
Bla.....

So lets get back to reality!
This has turned into a good day.
And Good Friday should be a Great Friday!
(first day off in 11 days).

It's Storm Lake Time Baby!

the term "storm warning" hits a little close to home for some of us in Texas today;)

Hope you and yours are all safe and sound.

I'm in Tampa Fl. and we get twisters here too.
But very rarely a F4. And never ever a F5.

yeh, I have family in two of the locations that got clobbered today in Central TX, and the storm wall is now about 30 minutes away from us here in downtown Stumpwater

Surveyor I live about an hour away from Joplin if you remember what happened there last year, I sat here at work all day watching weather channel footage and all of you were on my mind. Glad to hear you and yours is okay.

yep, twisters can be nasty devils. In '78 I was in a house with a tin roof trying to convince a patient (victim of an "acccidental discharge" from a home made shotgun:eek:) to take a ride with us to the hospital.... when the roof got taken off by a tornado.

sorry for the shiny thread hikack:o

I think the new direction of the thread is much more interesting,
relevant and important.

The worst act of mother nature I've been through was a large earthquake in Southern California.
I was in bed on the second story of a condo.
The rolling waves felt like being on the ocean.
Furniture was moving and I couldn't even get out of bed.
Wouldn't have been able to stand if I did.
Really felt completely helpless.
Just had to lay there and ride it out.

Pictures from 1994 Northridge Califonia Earthquake
that claimed 57 lives, injured 9000.

I've heard it's not easy to run from an earthquake
