New guy with new CW45

Hi all. New guy with a new CW45 coming. I plan to load for this gun and wondering if there are any bullet profiles to stay away from. Also, where can a guy get a good deal on mags? Thanks in advance, gonna look around now, great site.

Welcome to the forum, s4s4u. I haven't had any troubles with any ammo I've tried in my PM45. For magazines, try Ivanhoe Warehouse and Cheaper Than Dirt. The first only charges $5 for your whole order. I would get at least two spares, and if you like, get a 7-round extended grip mag for a reload carry and range use. I keep my PM45 stoked with those at home and for reload carry, but I CCW with the "flush-fitting" 5-rounder and the chamber loaded... 5+1.

For CCW, I carry Speer 230-gr Gold Dots Short Barrel, and I shoot Federal Champion, MFS/Ficocchi/Herters(all made by Fiocchi in Ozark, MO), & Blazer 230-gr FMJ at the range. I have shot Remington UMC... seemed a bit dirtier and smokier, but went bang every time.

Thanks Wynn. So I take it the gun sights are regulated for 230's? Have you tried 200's in it?
