Got my black PM9 yesterday. Went through the prep and took it out to the range. I fired the first 100 rounds without a single problem (federal bulk pack). This thing is accurate!

I got home and decided I would install some mepro trudots on my own. I used the P500 universal tool from midway. The stock sights came off easily. Getting the new ones on was the problem. I had to file and fit the new sights (this was my first time ever doing this). I did manage to mar up the rear sight along with my slide with the pusher while installing the rear sight. I had a crying baby and i was getting frustrated and got pissed and tried to muscle the thing in. That was a bad idea. I did fix the messed up part with some spray paint applied with a toothpick (cant even tell unless ur really close). I think im gonna stipple the grip.

I went out and fired another 150 WWB with out a single problem. I finished up with 2 full mags of 124 grain HST's.

My pistol somehow drops mags free and i am able to hand rack the slide, ride it, and it still manages to chamber all rounds. Hollow points too! Im pretty stoked! I think I got a keeper!

Here are the mandatory PIC's.

wow what a shame the P500 tool is a good tool, I hve one and it has saved my kahrs from lookig like urs. That finish on the sldie does not look right as a factory finish. Might be the light etc but to me it doesn't. Have u had it refinished etc. No doubt u buggered up the sights but the slide to. u must have been really frustrated and in a rush to.

Sight pushers are great for adjusting sights or cracking loose tight sights to remove but they aren't designed to install sights, just adjusting once you get them in far enough.

Nice stamping on the slide - very krispy!~

I like my PM9, it gets 2nd string use to the PM45. Nothing else but those two models get carried.

The tool is great. It was me. I didn't know what I was doing and was got impatient. The finish is factory. Maybe its my lighting. looks just like my p380. I'm sure I won't screw anything up on my next install now that I know what I'm doing.

Love the PMs congrats! I went with the MEPs too...really adds a nice touch. Can you try to take a picture in different lighting? There is definitely something on the slide and the frame that didnt come like that from kahr, oil maybe? It could be lighting like you said just seems weird it came up like that in the diffent angeld shots
