Brand New CM9 - Factory Polished Feedramp?

Hello All,

Bought a new CM9 two days ago, put 200 hundred rounds through it yesterday without any issues, and can't stop smiling today. I love it. This is the first handgun I've ever purchased, and I don't have any regrets. No problems at all so far.

Anyways, I've read a lot of posts talking about polishing the feedramp to improve reliability or fix nosediving issues... yet my gun seems to already have a very highly polished feedramp right out of the box. Is this unusual/new for factory shipped Kahrs?

It's not absolutely flawless, but I just can't imagine making it any smoother. There's no texture presented to a fingernail, feels slippery without oil, clearly brighter than the other barrel surfaces, etc.

nope most all kahrs today come with a highly polished feed ramp and most all kahrs today function just as well as urs does. Trust me in another 300 rounds you will think you have a different gun to.l It just smooths out that much. Treat it right and it will reward u in kind. U need to do nothing to the gun outher keepitlubed and the kahr lube chart in the tech section is simply the best. Welcome abaourd now shoot it likeu stole it..

I can feel the little friction points wearing in already, and the recoil spring has softened just a bit. I'm sure it will get even better like you say, Jocko.

If "shoot it like I stole it" means "have fun," then I'm already on it. No one ever talks about the sweet fireball you get from a 3 inch barrel. And the first six rounds were all touching at 5yrds.

welcome to the forum mini! Glad you're havin a good time with the cm! Got about 800 rounds through mine now, and it just keeps getting better! (Mine was my first handgun purchase as well) Im sure jocko's gonna give me grief about it but.... welcome to the cm owners club! weve unofficially adopted the :D as our symbol cause our guns rock! ( I think jocko just get mad cause he paid more for the pm :eek:)

Now you did it. Jocko is in tears. He couldn't get six rounds to touch out of a 50 round box of ammo. :D
