Been a while since I've been on KT - been real busy at home & at work. However all of us gun owners are up until 2359 tonight when the MD General Assembly session ends for the year (Sine Die). The reason is we had a victory for CCW in a Federal District Court (Woollard Decision in front of Judge Legg). This is the first Federal District Court to extend Heller and McDonald and say that the 2A includes carry "to bear". It's looking good for us now.

However ... in reaction the General Assembly is not taking this lying down. They're trying to pass an 11th hour bill to add unspecified training requirements with unspecified and unbounded costs - for both carry (if it happens) AND purchase. It could cost thousands, for each handgun purchase, and you will have to take a class (and pay for the class) with who knows what requirements (but it is almost certain to be at a minimum that required for LEO to annual qualify with a weapon, and for every weapon you own or carry).

But I digress. While up, waiting on pins & needles, we're trying to pass the time with a bit of humor. In that light, you might recall the video of Tex Grubner, who shot himself unholstering his firearm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYvAxLX6OzE

Someone has edited that video and turned it into a musical. You might find it amusing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTGmTrQXrwg

Enjoy!

Now, back to the General Assembly watch. About 45 minutes to go; this is like watching paint dry...

It's funny, but it's not funny. That had to hurt.
