I am considering a small carry 9mm like the PM9. I was comparing it to a sig p290 at the store and I like how it comes with a 8rd extension. Are there any extension that work on the Kahr, I heard the 7 round has issues?
Thanks

Some have had issues with the 7 rounders while others have good success. I have not had any issues with any of my 7 round mags. Somewhere on here I read that the shooter's grip is more of the issue than the mags themselves. If you choose the PM9, you can give it a shot, if you experience problems Kahr has seemed willing to swap 7 round mags for 6 rounders. I would think they would also be willing to swap for an 8 rounder.

Don't gamble on the 7 rounders, mine is complete garbage and is going back when I get around to it.

You'll have to decide; do you want the fatter/heaver 290 or the more compact Kahr? Put the Sig and the Kahr side by side and you will see the difference in size and weight. Is the gun going to be as a protection piece or ? How many rounds do you need? 5 plus one works for me in my PM40 or 45. J frames only hold 5 also. The more rounds the less concealable and heaver the gun gets.

The P290 is huuuuge compared to the Kahr. I owned it for less than 2 days before selling it. Just couldn't stand the notchy trigger and the incredible bulk. Bleh! Then I bought a PM9. :D

I carry with the lowest capacity magazine in the gun for concealment, but I carry the largest capacity mag in a holder for a reload. For the PM9 that's 6+1+8. For the PM45 5+1+7 and for the P380 and P40 6+1+7. I shoot all of the magazines at the range, so I know they work.
