I met Justin Moon yesterday at the NRA annual convention in St. Louis. As soon as I made it into the exhibition hall, I went straight to the Kahr booth. There were tons of people standing around and it was hard to actually get to the guns to handle them and ask questions of the Kahr reps.

Standing in the back of the booth was someone that looked familiar from pictures in an interview I had read. I thought is was Justin Moon and, sure enough, it was.

I introduced myself and asked for a picture with him. He's a very nice gentlemen and waited patiently while my friend figured out my phone camera.

I was able to talk to him a little about designing the first pistol when he was an econ major in college. My friend mentioned that his dad had carried a Thompson submachine gun in the Pacific in WWII and has pictures of his dad with it. Justin asked for copies of the pictures for the company's brochures.

All-in-all a real nice guy whose company makes really nice pistols.

Was the high point of my day at the NRA convention.

Great picture. I hope to meet Mr. Moon in person myself some day. It's on the list anyhow.

I'd also like to meet Jodi Laporter? and JohnH and a fella named Bob who've I've corresponded with several times and a few others.

It'll happen some day if theres enough days.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see your friends dads picture with the Thompson here too.

That would be wicked cool if they put him in their brochure.

I'll post the pictures here when I scan them.
You don't have to be a history buff to appreciate pictures from WWII with a Thompson in them.

Did you ask him when that P380 size .22 pistol was coming out?

No I didn't ask about the. 22 version.
I was a little too "giddy" about meeting him to ask very many intelligent questions. He seems to be very quiet and I didn't want to be rude.

I met him on Friday. He is very nice. The Kahr booth was pretty busy every time I passed by.

Sorry I missed you guys! I rolled in a little late Friday, but was there all day Saturday. I did have a few members drop by. It was packed from around 11:30 on. I think the heavy rain slowed down the morning crowd a bit. No new guns from Kahr, but we did have a nice P9 with a Gemtech suppressor on it. That was very nice... :D
