Ok,
I have been looking and looking for a K9 Elite with night sights. I gave up my Glock 19 since it was too thick for inside the waistband carry. I will miss the extra capacity but having handled some of the Kahrs I know I'm going to be happier with the K9. The only Kahr I have really been able to handle is the CW9 and the K9 seems to have the same dimensions and the same trigger. So does anyone know where I can find one? My local shop said their suppliers are dry right now and it will be awhile. I have also emailed some other places but haven't heard anything back. Not a huge emergency as I have my 342PD to carry in the summer months but I would like to get the K9 and order my milt sparks holsters before too long.
Thanks!

It might be easier to find a new K9 without night sights and then just send the slide to kahr and let them fit nite sights on it. Great gun, I think kahrs best steel gun..

That is a good point, do you have an idea of what that might cost? I think the trijicon's are around $80, plus probably around $65 or so, but this will be my first kahr and my first experience with Kahr service.

probalby best to just call or write kahr and get the total price including shipping. U can just sent the slide to them regular mail even and save big bucks Unless u have ur heart set on only the K9 elite, u might consider the standard K9 which today if bought new has the elite trigger in it, all internals are the same. The differenc en price being merely cosmetic work, which isnice but just not as easy a gun to find as the K9 itself.
There are guys oh this forum who can help u find a nypd K9 uysed and if u want night sights again just send the slide in. No doubt some of the nypd trade in probalby have nights sights.. I bought my K9 used about 6 years ago with the nypd trigger in it and it is my best shooter and has never failed on me. I magna ported it also.
If u love steel guns, u ju7st gotta love the K9. Just sayin

Oh, I didn't know the regular K9's had the elite trigger in them. In that case, maybe a black K9 with the elite trigger and then send the slide in to Kahr for night sights, will be a cool option.

I got my MK40 Elite with NS for $820
from lowpricedguns.com
Had the gun in two days flat.
They seem to have a good selection of the high end Kahr guns.
If you don't see one listed email or call them.
I bet they can get you one fast.

Sorry...not meaning to hijack this thread, but is it possible to buy the parts to swap out the regular K9 trigger to the Elite and how hard would that be if one is so-so to doing their own stuff?

I would not do it but yes it can be done. For whatr ur gonna pay for the parts etc to gain 1/8" less travel IMO is not worht it. If u want it done right, it shold go back to kahr to get done properly with no harm to the frame, but that involved postage vboth ways plus parts and labor and then ur talking big bucks for 1/8" less travel.
I have a PM9 wioth elite and a K9 with nypd trigger and I shoot the K9 muych better than my PM9

I have your gun, not willing to sell it. IMO would get the factory elite trigger with the night sights. I put on the wood grips for CCW purposes. My 16 yo daughter put 100 rounds thru it last week and loved it.

If you have time and patience, you can watch gbroker or some of the other online auctions. I picked up three old steel frame k40's a few years back at exceptional prices. If you do go this route, it is easy to upgrade to the elite trigger if needed and adding novaks are not a problem either. My opinion is the steel frame K's are like a bottle of wine. They just get better with age and especially with use.
If the shiny SS look is what you like, there are several options for refinishing a steel frame. I'm considering haveing one of mine finished in French Grey.
