Will send her back tomorrow because of 4 failures (fte) within 50. rounds, unacceptable! Hope this will be the last trip. Also still get brass trown at me. How many times I'll have to send it back until they'll get it right is written in the stars. Should not happen with a 700$+ price tag gun.:mad::mad:

Need column for we don't need no stinking Mother Ship.
My MK40, following a lengthy 400+ break in,
runs like a Swiss watch.
I have seven guns and have never had to send any
back to the Mother Ship.
My Sig Sauer P220 did take a six month sabbatical at Exeter, NH.
But the gunshop accidentally ruined the slide.
So that doesn't count.
Plus I got a free new OEM barrel and nickel plated slide - Woo Hoo!
To make this a vaild Poll one would need a control ie). how about never had to be returned for service from the manufacturer.....?

Couldn't vote because out of seven Kahrs, NONE have had a problem!

My gun had a few hiccups during the break in period, but a new recoil spring and some minor tweaking of my own and my CM9 is running flawlessly. Are you experiencing failures to extract or failures to eject?

Ditto~ Even as the front took a dump, and the frame needed replacement, the pistol still fired and functioned reliably and safely. Yes it had a few failures in the first couple of boxes... perfection from thence out.
Ditto~ Another, bought used and totally untested, fired, fed, and ejected perfectly, now with a bunch of rounds through it.
Ditto - Yet another (9mm this time) same thing - perfection.

Not to turn this into a expansion of your frustration, but what you're describing does in fact sound like breaking in difficulty (new springs need breaking in), coupled with not as firm a human pedestal as is required. Sometimes though, small pistols of a specialized nature just dont match up well with certain individuals. Sad fact. Could be that such is the case with your less than perfect experiences.

if this is the first50- rounds and ur having these issaues, then IMO u need to give the gunwhat the manual asks of it. 200 rounds seems to smooth out some minor teething issues. U did not state wheter this was ur first 50 rounds or what, but IMO, I think urjujping ythe gun way to faswt here if that is so. Just sayin.

Both my wives crapped out bad.
Really wanted to personally send them both back.
But figured sending them back to the Mother Ship might have been frowned upon.

What is the purpose of this poll? So far there have been 74 views and no votes whatsoever. Looks like the OP may be the only one so far to have to send their PM 45 back?

My mk9 for a cocking cam First time they replaced the trigger bar unnecessarily. Second time replaced the cocking cam but broke off the trigger pivot pin. They took it back a 3rd time and fixed the pin. All is great now and really no big deal for me or any cost to me. Keep sending the gun back on their dime until they get it right. Enough times and Kahr will have lost money on the gun.

There aren't enough choices. Mine went back FOUR times, but once... the third time... was to replace a crappy replacement slide from the second trip... very faint "engraving"... like you had to hold it just right to see what it said.
The first time was for no bevel on the "stripper' portion of the slide... wouldn't feed from slide lock release. had I tried to fully rack it, it would have worked fine, but using the slide lock as suggested by Kahr, the "stripper" was left resting on top of the cartridge rim instead of behind the cartridge... and then the slide would just ride over the case or jam part way on top of the top round.
The second return was for trigger problems, and the fourth was for the frame replacement after it started destroying magazines... reproduced by Kahr. Mine's like NEW again and I can shoot it "limp-wristed" all I want without failure... which became a problem after the first trip back.
"Franken-Boomer" is just fine now.

You've had the same luck with wives as I have. Both of mine lasted eight years - evidently that is my tolerance for pain.

Mine went back 3 times, last time they replaced the barrel and recoil spring. First two trips back they just polished the feed ramp.
Have not had any issues with it since the third trip.

To clarify, my gun has 400+ rounds trough it now and went back once for FTE and FTF issues, they did replace slide release spring and guide rod spring.I also complained about ejector issues but nothing was done to the ejector. I discovered some drill marks on the left rear ejection port on the inside of the slide and a nick at the bottom front of the barrel, propably from a vice. It's not my first gun, I 've been involved with arms for almost 30 years ,started in the Navy.I've used multiple brands and calibers but never encountered so many issues. I like combat weapons, because they work and have an extremely low rate of failure.I hope that I can say that about my PM45 one day.I like to see things work properly, especially if they cost a bunch. I understand that nothing in the arm industry is perfect (except H&K,lol) but for god's sake Kahrs gunsmith's needs to get his poop together and put some pride in his work. My

My CW45 went back after the trigger would not reset after firing a round. I got great customer service and my pistol was back in my hands in 7 days. Since then I put a new recoil spring in so it would shoot +P loads without jamming, but all is well now.

Good to hear.
I actually start to feel physically sick when a gun starts misbehaving.
Had a really difficult time getting through the break in period on my Kahr.
Never had a gun that required one.
Even though I new Kahrs were like that going in.
It didn't help deal with that sick feeling every time I had a FTF.
Sometimes I just start to get anxious with her these days.
Squeeze off three mags just to make sure she still works every so often - LOL!
Of course the MK40 is perfect.
Actually runs so smooth now I feel stupid for ever doubting her.
