From McMillan's Facebook page:

McMillan Group International

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.

At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.”

“That is correct” he says.

I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”

“You have to do what you must” he said.

“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”

Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.

I think it is important for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position, I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

This has the ring of internet hoax mythology to it. How does one fact check this? Where does one get BofA out of " Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking"?

Just a skeptic asking...

Well, I went to McMillan's facebook page. It's posted there. I also checked and Ray Fox is, indeed, an SVP of Business Banking in Arizona at the bank.

Looks like it's verified then. I don't personally bank with BofA,( I'm satisfied with my tiny Marine Federal Credit Union), but my Dad and brother have accounts there. I'll have to pass this on.

Sent this on to a few of business and banking friends. I'm sure it will be used for good purpose. If BofA wants to be politically correct, so can we. Hope it hurts them in the good ol pocket book.

I think today we still have that FREEDOME OF CHOICE. Course the great one might even try to take that away from us to. People today have all kinds of reasons for taking thier busness some where else and if this gun policy from BOA doesn't float ur boat, . there is a bank damn near on every corner it seems. Best ask first though what their policy on gun rights is or u might just wear ur shoes out finding a bank that caters to ones every needs. Just sayin.

I don't believe in banks myself. I thought that's what mattresses were for.

BoA was pure evil w/o this story, true or not. I'd dig a hole in my back yard and buy an attack panther before I'd do business w/ them.

I glad I've never done business with BoA, because changing banking affiliations is such a hassle.

Yeah, I guess they do. I recently had a shouting match with the manager of my Suntrust branch over something trivial, and threatened to move all my money down the street to Chase. I already do some business with Chase anyway, and have a small relatively inactive checking account there. After I cooled off enough to think clearly, I realized that I have two saving accounts with other banks linked to my Suntrust checking account, not to mention a third party online bill paying service, and six direct deposits every month. I managed to save face by finding another Suntrust Branch that was actually more convenient for me.

I've used Capital One for years now and they have always treated me good.

Glad I've been with Navy Federal for going on 30 years now. I'm fairly certain they are gun friendly.

Other than brandishing one while in the bank, that is!

I just read today that Freedom Group (Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, others) banks with BofA. I wonder why they dropped one but not the other.

Money? They could afford to lose a smaller customer . . . my "guess".

I bank there because they have the most convenient, local branches here in the Tucson area and have always treated me well. No, I do not open carry in town. But, when I am carrying a 1911 under a thin, light colored, bicycle jersey, it's hard to imagine the tellers not being aware of it. Never a comment. Always friendly service. :)

We (my family) have been having issues with BofA lately and I also support some of their staff in my business.
We are cancelling our credit cards with them due to the issues and moving our mortgage as well away from them.

They have got to be hiring some of the most ignorant people you can imagine.
I deal with them daily and hate those calls.

Boo on BofA. Bunch of A$$.......
