Picked up a new cm9 yesterday and went to the range after cleaning her up.Put 200 rounds thru her and NO ISSUES. It worked and cycled perfectly.Pretty accurate which will only get better as i shoot her more, What a nice little ccw gun and after reading input on holsters i will get that next.

Picked up CM9 2 days ago and 130 flawless rounds through it so far. Great gun and very accurate. I need to consider adding a grip.

Welcome to the forum all three of you! And welcome to the CM9 Owners Club, whose symbol is :D!
If you do a search on "PJ Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37)" you will find numerous posts from many of us testifying that it is the most amazingly comfortable holster we have ever seen! Paper thin kydex. Weighs maybe an ounce. Super concealable. And your CM9 in the PJ Holster will seem to disappear and become part of your body so that you have to reach back there in the sweet spot just behind your hip to confirm that it is still there!

I strongly suggest a Talon Grip for new CM9 owners. I used to love shooting the gun but the grip just dug into my hand after every mag. After adding the grip, it's much more comfortable and I still have good traction since it's rubber. Also, welcome to the Kahr community! Hope your CM9 runs as well as mine... nearly 2000 trouble-free rounds (all kinds, and my own handloads).

I just got a new CM9, too! I have not yet taken it apart to do the recommended prep, and I won't have time to do that or get to the range for a few weeks (going away on vacation). However, I have a couple of initial questions and comments.
First, FOTB this gun is stiff, stiff, stiff! Racking the action and loading the magazine take a huge amount of effort. I gather that repeated racking and firing 200+ rounds for the break in will help the action to loosen up, but how about loading the magazine? Right now, I plan to use a mag loader. Does this improve over time, or does it indicate the spring being in backwards?
Second, I chambered the first round using the traditional (for other guns) rack and release method. I know that the instructions say to do this as a two-step process, pulling the slide back and locking it with the slide stop, then releasing the slide stop. Do most of you folks follow this procedure?
Finally, for the guys who just posted their initial range reports in this thread, did you follow the recommended prep or did you just take it to the range, load it and go bang?
BTW, I put a Hogue Handall Jr. on it. Getting it on was a *****, but the effort was worth it, and it feels really good in the hand.
TIA,
Vic
It’ll all loosen up in time and the trigger even seems to smooth out more.
A good sling shot will get it done…don’t try riding the slide forward.
Skateboard/non slip tape works well on the grip too.
I always clean and lube a new gun before shooting.
Accuracy is awesome on these little guys and you’ll only get better as you shoot more.
I can keep all shots on (8x11) paper at 50 ft.... groups definitely tighten up at SD distances.
