We're replacing our two, LC9's with a CM9 and a CW9.
Is there a sticky about magazines?
I'll be buying an extra mag for each.
What should I know, if anything, about the single mag that comes with each gun?
What should I know about buying extra mag's?
(I did find something about inspecting the factory springs to make sure they're not backwards or reversed. Is that right?)
Much appreciated.
(Had a PM40 a while back, and it'll be good to get back to carrying Kahr's again.)

If you go to the Kahr websight under accessories, you will see magazines listed. If you click on one you will see all the models that mag fits. If your model comes with a 7 round mag, you can usually use an 8 round mag, realizing it will stick out a little farther. A lot of us use a backup mag that carries an extra round.
As an example, the K920 Magazine holds 8 rounds, and fita all Kahr 9mm models.

There are stickies concerning mag mods, but you shouldn't do anything to yours unless you run into a problem. Checking to see if the mag springs were installed backwards isn't considered a modification.

You may have already noticed that most people have the best luck with another flush fitting round (like the original) rather than the longer mags that seem to be prone to feeding issues.
Welcome back to the Kahr shooting family! :)

^^^^ What he said. Don't make sense to me to buy a compact concealable gun and then have a mag sticking out the bottom like a Uzi. Might be ok for range but I prefer to shoot the way I carry. Also I would stick with Kahr brand mags as opposed to aftermarket at this point. Not terribly good success with aftermarkets YET.
There are several outlets for Kahr mags, Ivanhoe usually is good. Several others that are a few bucks cheaper than direct.

Excellent info, gents.
MrsDoc carries in her Galco purse so, grip and mag size isn't as much as an issue.
She'll get the CW9.
I'll probably carry the flush mag in the CM9, but with the Pearce pinkie placer.
That's how I carry the LC9 in the SmartCarry.
Thanks again, looking forward to dialing in the Kahr's.

You might check, I think there's a member selling a bunch of mags in the for sale area. 8 or 9? Don't recollect which ones they were specifically.
Get em all, you just can't have too many.
Aw, scratch that. I looked and they are all sold except 1 7 round and an 8 rd.

Thanks, I saw that but wasn't sure which to buy.
I did, however, snag the CT laser in the sale area.
Looking for a "deal" on a second one now.

The 8-round extended mags have been reliable for me... no problems. Stick out a bit in the PM9/CM9 and "flush" for K9/CW9/P9. Pictures:

For Kahrs, I carry concealed with a flush-fitting mag... metal base plate if available... and carry the largest mag for a reload and range use.
I don't CCW with the K9 so I keep it stoked with the 8-rounders and several spares next to it for Home Defense.

Much appreciated, gents.
I just ordered two, 6 round mags and one 7 round mag from Ivanhoe Warehouse.
Also snagged (pun intended) a couple sets of those Talon rubber grips.
wifey gets the CW9, I get the CM9
