Last fall I purchased a CM 9 for off duty carry. Had been carrying my G27, but wanted something smaller and easier to conceal. At that time I purchased a Crossbreed Minituck. Great holster, comfortable and just all around great. Works well in the winter, but really am looking for a single clip, IWB tuckable, that is smaller than the minituck for summer use. I tried one in particular, but it added way too much bulk to the gun, somewhat defeating the purpose of a small/thin/light weapon.

I do not like the Jclips, preferring the standard style clip. I like a holster that rides low, for better concealability.

Any recommendations from anyone?

Thanks in advance!

Try P J Holster (http://pjholster.com/). This is the thinnest, lightest, most comfortable and functional holster I have ever used. Paul makes each per order and you can customize cant, ride height, etc... He makes a tuckable, belt clip version. This might be the best option. Call or email him and he can give you all the info you might need.

The standard Over the Belt Clip IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=110) from PJ is great right behind the hip with an untucked shirt or T-shirt to cover it. Only holster I have ever seen that is so small, thin and comfortable that you cannot feel it there at all! If you want tuckable, he can do it with very little thickness. The Velcro along with the tuck feature makes for very discrete carry with nothing showing on the belt. You can't go wrong with Paul's holsters! :)

I've heard Kydex can cause more holster wear on a gun than leather. Any comments/experience here?

Garrett Industries Silent Thunder is a great holster also. I like that the adjustable clip gives you the ability to get the cant you prefer.

I've heard Kydex can cause more holster wear on a gun than leather. Any comments/experience here?I have had my PJ kydex for about 8 months. I use it daily for my CM9. The gun is in and out of the holster several times everyday. I have not one bit of holster wear on my gun. I look at my CM9 as a work horse daily carry and totally expected it to show wear. It was bought to carry not to look good. Much to my surprise, no wear marks are evident. Being the CM9 is stainless I don't know, maybe wear will show on blued or coated guns.

I absolutely love my theis holster. I thought I was going to hate it, the design looked so much bigger than other holsters I had tried but it's increasingly concealable (and tuckable) and has really given all my other holsters a secondary spot. It seems big and it's two clips vs the one you are looking for but it's so light that I have to recommend it. My PJ holster is being worked on at the moment but I've had good luck with them too. I'm 5'6" about 150 and it's amazing how my theis lets my gun disappear. I have a McDaniel ii on the way that will give me a single clip option. I also ordered a set of "Loop" attachments from shtf gear that look like they will work with my theis and match my black belt in a way they will be even less noticable.

I know it's secure but my Remora still worries me if I end up running or jogging between points. How often do I run or jog between points? Not often but the lack of any sort of clip just worries me, I haven't gotten rid of it so I'm not kicking it, it's definitely a holster with it's place to keep it around for. :) Also you definitely want to wear an undershirt with it, it's less comfortable than a bodyshield leather, which also isn't as comfortable as wearing a shirt between the holster and body.

I do not typically wear amt shirt. Is the PJ comfortable against skin?I live in South West Florida, the southern most area on the west coast, before you need to take a 90 degree turn and head toward the east coast. I never wear more than a t-shirt and cargo shorts, year round. I use the PJ holster daily. I find it is comfortable against my skin. Unlike leather does not make me sweat more and will not absorb moisture. I had leather holsters before. After a day of use they would be "waterlogged" with perspiration and could transfer that moisture to the gun.

Thanks for your help. Here is a guy who hand makes holsters to order. That are inexpensive and really well made. Before I got my PJ, this is the holster I used daily. Right now he is backed up and not taking orders. But you might want to send him an email and get an idea on time. JMG Holsters (http://www.jmgholsters.com/)

i think leather wears it more than kydexExactly! The natural abrasives of leather plus the ability of leather to hold dirt and microscopic "pebbles" and such, makes leather more apt to wear a gun's finish than kydex. Here is a quote from world renowned Raven Concealment Systems, "All holsters wear the finish on a firearm. These are tools we carry to potentially save our life one day, they should not be collector’s items. Kydex holsters, over the long term, will wear a gun less than a leather holster will. Kydex will rub along the high spots of a gun and may create some wear marks. After the holster is broken in, those wear marks typically will not grow in size. A leather holster will retain dirt, sweat, powder residue, oil, and other daily grime which will create an abrasive surface that will constantly wear on the gun it holds. When your Kydex holster is dirty, simply wash it out."

ballistic nylon seems to be a "tweener" of leather and kydex. I have just never been a fan of kydex. My guns are tools, expecially myt carry6 guns. I don't expect them to look like new after 5years in and out of my pocket, but I do expect themt o go bang when needed, so wear/looiks is not important to me as it is to some. An all stainless kahr is a no-brainer in ur cncered about wear. I tink any finish be it glocks tennifer or kahrs dlc, over time will wear and alot depends on the rig ur carrying it in to. Leather is damn nice lookkng but what markis892 stated is about dead on. Just saying

Here is a store that specializes in and stocks a lot of the Don Hume holsters. Give them a call and see what they have in stock.

SD976: To answer your question about Kydex against the skin, I bought 2 PJ holsters with J-hook and a forward cant for my PM45 and LCP and I love both of them. The Kydex is smooth and causes no discomfort what so ever. I never wear an undershirt, so when I first put the gun on, it feels cold against my skin for a minute or so. However, the trick I found is to pull my boxer shorts up a bit on the right so that the top of the boxers ride between the holster and my skin. It works great and helps to slide the gun and holster into position quickly and easily.

Buy the PJ IWB holster with J-hook and forward cant. The J-hook is much less visible than the over the belt clip, and the forward cant drops the gun lower inside the waistband. With both, the gun literally disappears on your side. There is only a portion of the grip and about an inch of my black slide visible above the belt line. Think about it, dark boxers behind the gun, black grip, black belt, and black J-hook holster... Even if the shirt rides up momentarily, the gun blends right in with the dark boxers and black belt, so it isn't noticed. I throw my PM45 in the waistband at 3 o'clock (most comfortable position for me while sitting) with a dark t-shirt and off I go. No need for a jacket or 2nd shirt. I have tried several holsters and nothing else even comes close. You will absolutely love it.

Grandfather Oak Hidden Companion. I have / have had probably 10 or so PM9 holsters and it is my old standby. It is minimally thin kydex with a simple leather belt loop and it's inexpensive. It's the next most comfortable thing to stuffing the gun in the waistband with no holster.

I use Tennessee Holster Company holsters...Great customer service and great people...I have one coming in for my new PM9...The best thing is they don't have a 4 month wait like other popular holster companies...
