I pretty new to handguns, new to Kahr, and new to this forum, so I feel that I should definitely read more than post a this point. However, I just have to say my piece...

I am a female 5'4 about 175 and I bought the Kahr CW9 as my first gun and probably future ccw, as I am new shooter and only shot somewhere between 300-400 rds through a handgun - I won't be jumping the gun on that, I don't want to put others life in harms way due to inexperience (though another subject). I have put my first 118rds through my Kahr at the range yesterday. I can happily say I love it. I can't say this gun is made for everyone, everyone is different. But, for me wanting a 9mm...it seems to have been made especially for me. It has a heavy slide, which to me means less recoil, it fits my hand well, the DAO is nice, it's easy to clean, and I must like the sights, because my aim has improved from the S&W SD9. I really have nothing bad to say about it, and I am planning on having it for many years to come.

well la de da. a gal that can handle the cw9. congrats, a super super handgun.Have u visited our kahr tech section and hit on two good sticky's
#1 kahr lube chart

#2 propper prepping of ur new kahr, some helpful hints for ur successful cw9.

If by chance ur having any issus with hand racking ur kahr, give it a couple hundred more rounds down range and the recoil assembly will take it designed set and it should be easier for you to do so. welcome aboard, U wllbe hearing soon from our supreme commander,he is not gonna be happy that I beat him to the congratsthing ashe is truly our forums lady man--in a nice way. Getgood losq at hand racking ur kahr, learn the tap, rack and bang drill, u need to beableto clear the gun in case of a jam etc. Right now I would suggest using the slide lock lever like kahr recommends and periodicaly at the range do some hand rack drills. It will come to u .

welcome aboard the best forum u will ever be on, we have some women folks here to and they are dandys.

The Great onewill be around shortly....

Yeah, I read the 2 stickies, it definitely helped. Especially the lube one, and I even got something better than sewing machine oil now. Hand racking is not a probably though, it was tight out of the box, but it's nice and easy now. I will be doing some practice drills, and can't wait for more range time. Thanks!

I'm glad you're happy with your new baby too. It is a really nice gun. I am waiting for Wal-mart for get some more Federal Champion 100 packs before I get some more time down the range. I still got some ammo, but if I have to pay the range fee I might as well go prepared to have fun for a few hours. Have you noticed the inside of you slide getting a little scratched up? Or more stainless steely? It's probably normal, but it's disappointing to have the inside all used looking so soon.

Welcome and good luck with your new pistol. I have had mine for a couple of years and have never had a problem with it.

have the 100 pak of wwb, it is goods tuff and about the same price as the federall That is allI shoot inmy PM9, it is low in price, relatively clean IMO and only 2 miles from my home and 10% discout that my wife gets, makesit n the 20$ per 100 range. Its good ammo. odd though, our wal mart never has federal ammo.:blah:

Yeah, wwb is just a few bucks more. I might as well try it. It's just hard for me to separate with my money when I know I can get a cheaper price. Although, I got 3 boxes of Tulammo before I read the user manual. Now, I got three paper weights for being such a tightwad, because I don't want to void the warranty. Although, I don't know how they'd know if I used them. Walmart doesn't have any Federal bonus packs at the warehouse right now, but maybe if you got your Walmart more proactive, they would get them at the store when they could. Some Walmarts order what they need and some Walmarts wait for the system to order for them.

I didn't find Jesus yet, but I did find the last box of Federal at the Walmart near the lgs today. :) So, I got 4 extra bucks for lunch on the way to the range when I go.

Hey Welcome. I'm new too but we all gotta be new sometime. Love my P9. It's become the love of my life -PLEASE don't tell my wife though. Mine is still a little tight and boy does that recoil spring have some life to it. Sent it all the way across the kitchen the other day while re-assembling. That spring is not for the faint of heart or fingers.

Good luck and good buy. Keep shootin'

Welcome RedRyder, and I won't tell the wife, just because I completely understand. Just keep that spring pointed away from you and I'm sure you'll stay happy. :)

I'm also a new CW9 convert. Been reading all the internet love for them for years and had long ago decided that a CW9 would be my next handgun.

So far I'm very happy with mine.

I have had mine for a few months now and I couldn't envision a better warm weather EDC. Even at home if I step outside the CW9 comes along. A great little pistol! :)

I am gong to a gun show May 5 & 6 to hopefully sell my PF-9 to get the CW9 a twin. ;)
