When at the indoor range a few days ago, shooting my new CW45, I would shoot a couple of mags then stop and police the brass - saving it to give to a friend for reloading.
Last night, I sorted the brass and put it in ammo boxes for his convenience, but noticed something new: many of the brass shells had a rough spot on the very rim - prominent enough that they got my attention just in the casual handling of them.
My guess is that the extractor in my CW45 is chipping or tearing the brass. Anyone else ever have this happen?
(Of course, this probably ruins the cases for reloading but now it's up to my friend to sort them.)
