I'm in need of an ankle holster for my CM9. Right now I'm looking at the Galco ankle glove and the Renegade holster.

I like that the ankle glove has the option for a calf strap for additional support, but the Renegade looks like it might be more concealable.

Anyone own either holster?

I have an ankle glove I carry my PM45 in. I carried my K40 in it prior to the PM45 so it handled the additional weight of that nicely as well. I put a laser on the 45 so got the ankle rig from the Kahr shop that acomodates the laser. It's very similar, I believe it might be Gould and Gouldrich but can't say for sure. Couldn't find one anywhere else. The calf strap is better than the Galco although I never used either.
I sent mine to another member here.

I'm not familiar with the Renegade but the CM should carry real nice in either the Galco or the Kahr brand.

The Ankle Lite might even work well for the CM. I don't like just the neoprene sack part and prefer the thumb strap like a real holster of the other two but the ankle lite would work.

I've tried a bunch of ankle holsters, but only found one that I trust. I'm pretty sure its a Gould & Goodrich. It laces into a boot (pretty much need an 8" boot or taller). It's very secure. I've run many times with it and I dont even know its there. The Galco is decent, but cannot be worn with a boot securely. It's also pretty bulky in my opinion. If you must carry on the ankle, I just wouldnt do it without a sturdy boot, and a lace-in holster. This one has served me for quite a while now, so I trust it.

I've carried my PM9 in a Galco Ankle Glove for many years. Prior to the PM9 I carried a Walther PPK/S in an Ankle Glove. Very comfortable and secure with the optional calf strap.

Was the ankle glove secure without the calf strap or is it a necessity.

Calf strap is not a necessity, and can be added later if desired. I purchased the calf strap as I found that no matter how tightly I wrapped the holster around my leg, it would work it's way down and rest on the top of my shoe. The calf strap alleviated that problem and holds the holster securely in place. It's my carry holster as a duty bug (with the optional boot extender) and quite often my off duty carry holster. The Ankle Glove has served me well for many years.

My friend who recommended me to get my Kahr says the Galco Glove and Ankle Lite are probably the best for that type of carry. You pay a little more than some of the competition but they say it's worth it. Someday when I have a little extra $$ I'll pick one up too.

I've carried my S&W Model 637 in a modified boot holster for several years, but have always been intrigued by the Galco Ankle Glove. Since I bought my Kahr CM9, I also ordered an Ankle Glove from Galco.

I'm very pleased with this arrangement. The holster is very comfortable and secure.
