Due to the fact that George Zimmerman has raised over $200,000 for his defense, the prosecutors have asked the judge to increase his bond amount.
Sounds to me like they don't want him to be able to afford a quality attorney.

Actually, according to the newspaper account I read this morning, it was the Martin family that went balistic at the thought that Zimmerman was being helped by donations from the public at large.
I'd kinda expect that it costs a lot to keep a family in hiding from the lynch mob.
If I had a son . . . .

At the same time they were glady accepting any and all donations...typical hypocritical behavior of self possessed "victims".

Zimmerman's didn't disclose the legal defense fund to his attorney or the court until after bail was set. Apparently, that's a no, no.

To be honest with you, Ski, I don't know what difference it makes if the man isn't a flight risk. I don't think that Zimmerman knew that he was required to disclose the legal defense fund, but they say that ignorance of the law is no excuse. I think that he'll remain out on bail and in the end I think that he will be exonerated of any wrong doing, but you never know with our court system.
