Just got back from the range with my new CM9. I'm very pleased with it. I ran 200 rounds of 115 gr WWB throught it, followed by a couple mags of Ranger T 124 +P's. I only had one FTF. It was the second round on the second mag, definitely mag related. No failures with the subsequent rounds.

The trigger took some getting used to, as I am used to the Glock trigger. I was suprised by the accuracy this little gun is capable of.

Recoil was snappy for a 9mm, but manageable. The pearce extension I had on one mag helped tremendously. The baseplate of the other factory mag kept digging into my pinky.

I'm thinking either talon grips or a Hogue handall jr. would help tame the gun and fit my hand better since I have large hands. Anyone used the talon grips or handall? did you like them?

Welcome! :D
Your pistol will only get better. I tuck my pinky under the mag so I don't get any pinch. My brother kept getting pinched too until he started putting his pinky underneath. We both have large hands too.

one ftf is not big deal but u mentioned the second round, go to the kahr tech section and hit on the thread Propper prepping of ur kahr and scroll on down, There is a paragraph on how to check to see if by chance ur follower could be grabbing the magazine release button at round 2/3. Takes 5 minuts to check out and 5 minutes to correct.

I am about to trade EVEN my ruger lcp to my buddy who has the blunt nose version of the PM9 with dlc slide. I will now have a pair and I will leave this one stock to as I really did not need this other pM9 but I cerainly didn't need my Ruger lcp eityer now that my P380 seems to be running so good and I could not pass up HIS OFFER either. he is happy , I am trying to act like he focked me!!! Jut sayin.

I followed the prep advice before taking it to the range. I stripped the gun, removed the baseplate, spring, and follower from the mag, inserted it into the magwell and tried to feed the follower and spring to the top. One mag binds a little, the other does not. I going to use sandpaper to fix it. Seems easy enough.

nice job, u might now have solved this one time either, but u know that one follower is not doing what the other one is doing correctly,s o u know the drill. One FTF could be numerous things but the s2nd round notice sent a flag up for me to at least check.

Yeah, the strange thing was that it happened on round 8 through that mag. I fired maybe 48 more rounds through that mag and it worked perfectly. I figured the problem took care of itself, but I'll double check.

You asked about the Talon Grips in OP. I ordered the grip for my CM9, received it in flash time-no shipping cost-put it on and seated it in minutes, and absolutely love them. Actually adds to the good looks of the pistol, relieves a little snap feeling, and feels great. I would recommend them highly. Congrats on a fine selection of pistol, hard to beat the CM9 in any category.

I am very happy with my handall jr. that I have on the CM9 and Ruger LCP.

Thanks for the replies. I just ordered some of the rubber talon grips as well as a PJ holster based on the reviews here.

I have used Talon grips on other pistols and they worked great, but I didn't put them on my CM9. I actually like the grip, so there is no need.

I just got done putting 259 break in rounds on my cm9. Using three different brands
Blazer 124gr, Mag tech 124gr and Pmj 115gr. All were FMJ so now im ready to try some hp of some kind and it will take the place of my lcp for carry. Out of all the rounds I just had 4 ftf and that was beacuse of not lettling trigger go forward all the way when I first started. Not getting rid of the lcp love it, but like the trigger pull and cal. of the cm9.Carry both in a crossbreed mini tuck holster.
