My interest has been peaked about DoubleTap Bonded Defense +P 124gr. rounds for my CW9. They're incredibly hot loads (1295 fps/462 ft. lbs. out of a G19) with the expansive Gold Dot round (test expansion to .70" in 10% ballistic gelatin) out front to do the dirty work. Anyone have any experience with them? I'm thinking they're gonna kick like a mule on steroids but will be well worth the bruise in the web of my hand.

Their 135 grain .40 S&W round is not much different from most "fotay" rounds in terms of recoil.

What were you shooting it through?

Thanks TusconMTB. That really does say something if you didn't think the recoil was too much from a PM40. I can't wait to sling some DoubleTap down range with my CW9.

PS I'm looking into a P40 or a PM40 as my next purchase. You have any insight as to why you chose the PM over the P? I guess that kind of opens up the whole argument of concealability vs controlability.

God Bless

Thanks

I have used the Doubletap rounds in 45 and 9mm.I dont have a chronograph but they feel more potent than the speer loading.I also had some great acuuracy from the 45 in particular.I was also using full sized guns.
However at almost $1 a round for the Doubletap I would probably just stick to the speer loading which can be had for much less.

Here is a test of the .40sw DT vs Speer GD check out the results
