I have learned this particular PM9 is very ammo sensitive at this point.
Last week fired 35 rounds of PMC with 14 misfires.
Today fired:
1. 50 rd box of Blazer Brass with 0 misfires
2. 50 rd box of Blazer Brass with 3 misfires
3. 10 rds Rem Golden Saber +P with 5 misfires
4. 50 rd box Rem Shur Shot with 1st 3 misfiring-will save rest
for another firearm.
5. 5 rds Hornady Critical Defense-flawless
6. 5 rds Hornady TAP 147 gr -flawless
Outstanding accuracy @ 12 to 21 feet with outstanding trigger pull.
Those two things make me willing to be patient. Oh..and also love the low amount of recoil. Just a push....

I am assuming u have checked to make sure the striker channel is clean??? U state misfires, ,,,is the trigger actually releasing the striker or does the trigger just feel dead, I mean u pull it back and nothing happens??? If that is the case then somethig is wrong, if ur getting light primer strikes, then u could jposablly have a week striker spring. I would call kahr and present them with your findings and ask if trhey would send u a new striker spring to test out. If that solves the issue, then ur good to go, if not IMO then the gun is not right. U should not IMO be getting that many misfires, kahrs are not ammo sensitive in that area IMO. Blazer Brass is OK ammo, remington golden sabres for sure are a good round.
a cruddy striker channel can cause what ur having, there is a nice photo tutorial over on the kahr tech section on slide dissambly. I think if it was my gun I would first, take the slide apart and be absolutely sure the striker channel is OK and no damage to anything inside that channel. Then if all that was perfect, I would ask for a new striker spring. This has been done before with excellent results, then if that fails, then I think kahr needs to look at it.
My thoughts are a new striker sprng will take care of u.. Just sayin.
ammo sensitive IMO is feeding issues etc, certainly not misfires...

Hey Jocko
While I have cleaned the weapon as I do all that I own I have not flushed the striker channel as the weapon was pretty clean when I bought it. I will try that however. It certainly can't hurt.
To be specific about the misfire I refer to I am getting light primer strikes apparently although the strikes on the Golden Sabers did not appear that light.
I only had 3% failure to fire on the Blazer Brass and none on a limited amount of Hornady ammo which is my preferred ammo of choice.
I figured it was probably due to the tightness of the firearm although it could be the spring.

indeed the striker channel might also beOK but u need to error on theside of caution. U can use that little clean out hole on the bottom of the slide if ur leary about takign the slide further aprt, Jsut spray the living crapole out of that area. Over n the kahr tech section under propper prepping of ur kahr it talks maore about using that little clean out hole etc. U should have zero light strike failures, settle for nothing less. All the brands u havementioned should work with zero issues, lite strikes are more gun related than ammo related. U cold hyave a really cake dup striker channel up by the breech face and IMO I would take that striker channel allaprt and just make sure it is super clean, then if allis well, just use that clean out hole to clean every gun cleaning..

+1 on the striker. does not sound like its an ammo problem to me, that is way too many rounds not going bang.

Update...
Cleaned the weapon today including blowing out the striker channel.
Fired 5 rds of Hornady "Critical Defense" with zero failures. Seems to like Hornady.
Fired 6 rds of Remington Shurshot ammo with 4 misfires. I was able to fire all 4 of those rds by pulling the slide back 1/2 inch and releasing, then pulling the trigger again.
Unless I am willing to just use specific ammo it looks like I will have to call Kahr to get a spring. Then I will just have to figure out how to install it.
