Hello I am a new owner or a cw40 I bought as a carry tool. I did some research on a smaller pistol to carry when out and about here in Washington state and my normal carry was and sometimes still are a xd 40sc and a xd9 service both are great pistols but I wanted something a little more slim line and comfy to carry.

My research choices were a p238 or a cw9 40 or 45 I opt to go with the forty over the 45 and nine. I am more better or a shot with the 40 than I am a nine or 45. And it still has good stopping power.

This weekend I will have it out to dump 400-500 rounds in her and two different kinds of defense ammo. I reload so plinking rounds come cheap for me.

New to the site been reading a lot about issues and customization and what not. A lot of good info I have been reading so far. I do plan on getting another kahr in 380 for when I am out on the rivers fishing in civilization when in the woods I will have my super Blackhawk in 44 rem mag just I case I run into a bear or two.

Welcome to Kahrtalk!

Lots of very nice and knowledgeable folks here who know their Kahrs inside out.

CW40 is a nice gun and great for CC, I looked at it but went with a CW9 instead.

Mine has been great.

Well we always welcome kahraholics here, sort of an AA group for same.

Nice to see another Washingtonian too, I think there's 10 or 12 of us now and a few neighboring Oregonians too. We're still heavily out numbered by the east coast and Florida with a high density down in Texarcana too but since we're all on the same side I guess that matters not.

Yeah, I'm a resident of NC but still a Texan. :D

What part of NC? I did a little time there at Engineer School and my duty station. My wife is also from North NC (think almost Danville VA), but guess were we call home (at least I was born and bred here). Keep rubbing that '03A3 in too, I may have to plan a vacation .

I'm just outside of Charlotte, near the speedway.

Ahhh, the wife used to have some friends that lived out that way. Nice scenery until you get into town.

Welcome. The whole CW line is great. My first Kahr over five years ago was a CW9. I currently have a CW40 and a CW45, along with a PM9 and MK40. The CW40 was my go-to belt carry pistol until I got the 45 in December. It's a bit larger and heavier but I like the 45 ACP round. eleven of my sixteen pistols are 45's.
