Today was a not good day at the range for me since my Kahr CM9 did not fired any rounds at all! I'm so disappointed since I had great expectations and I absolutely love this gun. While at the range I decided to try new ammo for the gun and bought a box of Federal Premium 147 gr Hydra Shock and a box of Speer Lawman 115 gr FMJ which is the round I've being firing since I bought this gun.
I started by loading my first magazine of Federal JHP and fired the first round and NOTHING,just a light click, I thought probably this round is not good so I cleared the round and went for the second round, and again a light click.
The range officer came over and ask me if I was having trouble and I said YES! and I try to fired the third round and still nothing. At this time He ask me to give Him the gun and again not luck. I ask if we could try to shoot a magazine of Lawman FMJ and still nothing. Then I decided to try to shoot the first magazine loaded with Hydra JHP on my Springfield XD and every round went BANG JHP and FMJ's. The ranger suggested I bring the gun back to Cabela's and so I did and they are shipping the gun tomorrow back to the factory. I just can't believe this is happening, I have a total of 325 rounds and I clean the gun every single time I come back from the range.
I don't know if I'm going to keep it! I love this gun but how can I rely on it if it does not goes BANG in a time of need.

Any possibility you had the top end apart and got the spring carrier piece left out?

I had the same problem once with my Glock 22. Strikes were so light they would not set the primer off. Turns out I got a ton of lube in the striker channel when cleaning the gun. Before sending it off, you should have sprayed out the stiker channel with gun blaster or brake cleaner just to make sure it did not have lube or debris in it.

The gun fired perfectly last week and I cleaned and lubed the same way I always do for both the XD and the Kahr.

I didn't sprayed the gun again because I live 45 min away from the range and after getting out from the range Cabela's is just 7 min away and decided on the later.

I never per instructions from members on KAHRTALK lube the striking channel. And before I sent the gun off to KAHR I could not see the firing pin any longer.

So I wonder if dry firing is bad for this gun? Some times I practice with snap caps and other times I do not.

Maybe the firing pin was broken... though rare... we've seen a few instances here. All metal is not equal and up to the task of dry firing. Stuff happens and sometimes metal fails.

I had a new PM45 slide lock spring break in the middle of the spring... weird. usually the free end is bent or the whole spring warped out of its plane... or both, but a clean break had to be metal failure... defect or something.

like the firing pin has broken. dry firng does nbot effect it, U did nothing wrong, it just happened. I sure wouldnot loose faith over the gun if indeed it was a broekn firng pin. Man made parts do go bad. If u have already sent it back, a shame as if you had taken the striker channel apart andu would have seen this broken part if that is the case and a call would have gotten u a new pn pronto, would have saved alot of time. Kahr will make it right.

This would be about the third one of these we've ever heard of here. Freak failure is all.
