Hello All,

I have just recently joined the Forum and wanted to introduce myself. As far as handguns go I shoot and carry exclusively Kahr's. I was lucky enough to spot a K40 on one of the gun auction sites a few years back so I picked it up at a good price. I ended up buying two more that same year. All three are circa 1990's and I really love them. I picked up a T40 a year later and just recently added a P380. I think my old steel frame K's are my favorite, but I'm still tweaking the T.

Needless to say I'm committed to the Kahr and have put all of my other handguns in the safe for the time being.

Welcome.
I've got a MK40 Elite.
Asked the gunsmith what he could do for me and his response was nothing.
The Kahr came from the factory with a polished feed ramp, beveled mag well
and a melted treatment. Not to mention the polished stainless steel.

I'm curious as to what tweaking you're doing to the T40?

Welcome to the forum! I love the steel guns. I tend to carry polymer a lot because of the weight savings, but in terms of being fun to shoot my K wins hands down. I will likely get a T one of these days.

Welcome, And I agree, love those steel guns like the 1911 and the CZ 75B's but my PM9 EDC is of course polymer. Slim and narrow plus light in weight works for me when it come to EDC guns.:D

I'm not all that familiar with the MK40, but so far my .40 Kahrs have gotten the 5lb wolf spring, feed ramp polish for the steel ones, the action/trigger job per youtube, target crown barrels, my steel k40's got the elite trigger upgrade, and I checkered the front strap on one of my K's.

Specifically with my T:
5 lb spring
action/trigger job
target crowned barrel
seriously considering a Magna port job
considering a stronger recoil spring

The T and for that matter the steel K's really don't need much to shoot well as near as I can tell and I'm a long way from being able to shoot up to them. I enjoy tuning firearms and reloads and have a philosophy that I can improve any firearm I shoot.

A shout out to Johnh. I'm with ya on the steel guns. I like the feel better than the SS or the polymer versions.
