I picked up my first Kahr on Thursday a CM9, I have been a Glock guy for 6 years now and wanted something a little smaller. I looked over all the small 9mms and it was between the Shield and the CM, I have pretty much fired all of them that interested me and these 2 were my finalists. I knew nothing about Kahr and I shot an M&P 9 Pro in IDPA for a while. I finally got to put my hands on a Shield and then knew it was not what I was looking for. I don't like manual safety's of a self defense gun and I just didn't care for the M&P. So I bought the CM9 without even firing one. $409 OTD from my local gun shop. Got home and grabbed a box of 100 rounds and went to my range down the drive, yes it is nice to be able to do that.:) First round didn't chamber fully but a slap on the back of the slide made it go into battery. Started squeezing my first rounds off and no more problems through the first magazine. In fact I had nothing but smiles through the whole box the gun performed flawlessly. All I had read and had been told was that I may some problems in the first couple hundred rounds but none yet. Yesterday I went to the range on the way home from work and took 200 rounds with me for the Kahr. I shot a few magazines myself but anyone who came up I told them to try it out. I had 7 others shoot it everyone from some youngsters to guys like me and 2 women. Again not a single problem and everyone loved the gun. I believe its got right at 270 rounds so far. Today I will shoot another hundred or so and try some SD rounds through it. If that goes well I will be carrying it in a Galco ankle glove until I can come up with some other holster that I like for IWB or AIWB. May change out the sights to Big Dots down the road. I am well on my way to the 1000 round trigger job I give all my guns before passing judgement on them. So far the little CM9 has been great!

Any recommendations for a holster? I carry my Glock 19 in a Comp-tac M-tac, or a Bladeteck IWB and like both.

Mudcat,

You can't go wrong with a pjholster (http://pjholster.com) IWB. It's so thin you forget it's even there. Since the whole idea of the CM9 is concealability, the PJ Holster is a perfect companion piece.

Paul will fix you up perfectly. His turnaround is approx 2 weeks. I have one for my K9 and another on order for the CM9.

Here is the PJ holster we are recommending: http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37, the IWB Clip On. I am a holster addict with a lot of experience. I will tell you, I have never seen another holster that is so comfortable that I literally cannot feel it there with my CM9 in it in the sweet spot just behind my hip! All day long! I got it with fbi cant, which helps with comfort and concealment, as well as drawing. And Paul is an absolutely great guy to deal with! You will be very pleased!
