I have a remington gamemaster 760 in win .308 that was passed to me from some family member (never that close to that side of the family :blushing:) Just tryin to figure out the value of this gun. I know the 308 was only made for like a year, so that might help the value. Anyone got any ideas, or some ideas on how to figure it out? THANKS!

The Blue Book of Gun Values I have here at work is several years old but it shows the standard 760 Carbine at 450 for 100% down to 250 @ 60%..
There's a Peerless grade D and F with very high figures 1100 and 2420 for 100 % respectively.
The 760 rifle shows 375 for 100% down to 175 for 60%.
222, 223 and 257 Roberts bring much higher values. No mention of the 308 at a Premium and no note that the 308 was only a 1 year deal.

Not sure. You might be able to access it on line. I don't think it's free though. You might also just browse Gunbroker and see what they are selling for there.
I have a newer blue book at home, still not too new but newer than this one.

I was at a local small gun show this weekend and damn this one table had a half dozen Remingotn NYlon 66 rifles on the table kand none was under $600. WTf, we couldn't give um away when they were originally made and then they were less than a $100. I evebn seen one Nylon 66 that was bolt action. I forgot they even made that model. It had to be as poppular as 3 balls on a sow pig. Just sayin.
Only good deals at the show was their ham sandwichs, other than that I felt like I was in Gander Mt..
I did see a few Colt troopers that had the longest barrels i have ever seen, had to be 10+ inches.

I still don't understand the appeal of the Nylon 66's. Guess I never will.

I've been seeing prices of about $300. I had at least one of those 30-40 years ago. I didn't like that MOST of the gun was plastic with metal parts here and there, but that was part of the appeal... less metal to rust... light and almost indestructible. I think the bolt action was green(?) and I had the brown auto, but I don't remember if I ever got the more desirable black one.
That's the rifle that I was using to shoot water snakes when I got bored with fishing while out with my father-in-law back in the mid to late 70's. One time I was about to chamber a round and decided to point the rifle at the water instead of the bottom of the boat... GOOD IDEA! The rifle discharged as the bolt chambered a round! We just looked at each other with kind of wide eyes and a "WTF" look!:D
