When you think life is bad, you got nothing but crap, like you're about to hit the wall - remember these guys. Older, thinner, stronger, tougher, and much wiser than we are. The oldest is Ed Kennedy, AP reporter, the last image. He's 29. Most are under 21 years old. One is 23 years old.

Have a look at your typical 18-21 year old these days. Or your typical bloke in his mid or late 20's. They have no clue, nor do we, except by looking at history in the face - literally.

God bless 'em, those still alive, those passed.
