Just figured it was about time I posted some decent photos of em.

Here they are with my Dogfish neck knife.

Close up of their noses, you can see one has been melted a little, has the target crown and SS guide rod

Here is a view of the trigger area where you can see the trigger is polished and rounded, you can see how the slide stop has been reworked a bit, trigger guard has been melted a bit and the front strap has some skate board tape or similar for grip.

The non melted one for comparison.

They are two FINE looking guns. Can you tell me what the different degree cut/ target crown actually does for the gun other than nice looking and also what is the stippling on the front strap.

Very cool ! Is it just me, or does the gun on the left look like a k40? Maybe just the camera angle, but one barrel looks bigger than the other.

+1 on melting the trigger guard next to the mag release. That sharp edge can bite after a while. Very nice work all around!

are those both the very early model K's as I don't see the scalloping in the lower on either. Nice work by the way. really nice work in the side stop to.

Yes they are both apparently early models (niether is stainless for sure).

As I understand it the target crown is basically just to make sure it is dead square, and may or may not really do anything (if the crown was already square it wont help.. if not it will be more accurate). I believe the stippleing is just something akin to skateboard tape, it is a bit rough to be honest.

And here I thought someone might ask about all them skull beads...
Jocko I believe the work was done by cylinder and slide tho I can not say 100% for sure. I traded for it this way.

I just noticed the absence of the scallops. My mk's do not have it as I'm sure is well known. What is the purpose of the scallops? Does it have to do with the slide stop?

That scallop behind the trigger in the frame looks a lot like the scallops used in 1911's to reduce/make more comfortable the reach to the trigger.

very nice work by someone, if the gun was stainless the slide would be so makred or frame. My NYPD K( is marked stainless on the frame, and is scalloped also. Who ever did the melting did a nice job, could very well have been C & S to.. The contouring of trhe slide stop lever is also much neater than the "hack" job I dod on my PM9, although my slide stop after I got done with it was even smaller than urs pictured Yours is m,uch neater and IMO the right size to.

Awesome pictures. I like the skateboard grip on the one on the right. Are those skull pace beads under the two pistols on the first picture?

They are indeed pace beads sir. I thought they looked kinda cool so I bought a set and hung them on my neck knife cord.

It may be the camera angle or more likely it is how the crown is cut. On the left is the factory cut, has an outer cut and an inner cut makes for a more or less rounded crown.. when you look at the picture you can generally only see one portion or cut of the factory crown on the other you can see the full cut.
