Gang,

I am planning to add an AO M1 to my collection later in the year. What is the scoop on the various magazines for sale out there? Other than GI, what are the best choices? Any to avoid?

I have been sitting on a few hundred rounds of ammo since I traded of my last carbine quite a few years ago. I need to end the neglect and put it to good use!

:D

John,
There are a lot of junk magazines out there for the M1 Carbine. Bad magazines can ruin a good day at the range. Check out the new M1 magazines from Cheaper Than Dirt (Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com)) that are made in Korea. I bought some of these and they are first rate. Good luck.

Thank you for the advice! I was wondering about the Korean mags as they seem plentiful right now. Last time I had a carbine mags were hard to get and pricey, but that was at the height of the ban.
