I have a PM9 (# VAxxxx) purchased new that has never been sent in for any recall. Fired a few hundred rounds downrange the first couple of years with no issues other than 4 or 5 failures to go into battery early on, and no peening. It ran like a champ after the break in. Haven't shot it for two years, but am wondering if I should send it in for any factory modifications. It's pretty much a safe queen. The magazine release button seems a bit weak, but it's never dropped accidentally. Great little gun, though.
Y'all's thoughts would be appreciated.

if it ain't broke don't fix it. leave it alone, you have basically not shot thegun at all.. These guns are not ***** guns, they are built tolast, with little or no maintenance. What I would suggest you do is to order a new recoil spring assembly, as kahrs since you bought that gun made a slight change on the size of that flat part that goes against the barrel lug. Measure yours andif itis 3/8" in diameter, then order the new one, which willnow be 1/2" in diameter. Other than that leave it alone. You probalby have the polymer/steel mag release which I willsay if it ain['t broke leave it alone also. You can put that mag release in yourself even in about 5 minutes. Why send it back at a cost to you of around $70 just for postage let alone service that you yourself can do. The mag release that you have int hereis polymer with a stell insert in it. It wll not wear out either, unless you constantly salamthe matgazinein it allthe time. .
My opinion, other than checking on that recoil size, is to leave the gun alone and just shoot it like you stole it.. Teh magazine release button has the same size pin type springin it that you will get as a replacement. They do not wear out. Heh, you haven't got 500 rounds through it, leave it alone, save the bucks and buy some 9mm ammo ....Humm my PM9 has over 25,000 rounds through it, maybe I should send it back ,you think???
