7 round magazine base question >>>>>>>

I am looking to purchase some new 7 round magazines for my PM9, but have noticed that there seems to be 2 different style bases. Is one better than the other and which is the newer style?? Thanks for any info. God Bless :)

The newer style is the one that covers the whole bottom of the mag below the grip.

The better of the two??? I guess for looks the new one... but I kinda like the feel of the old one(roman chariot) when grabbing it from my front pocket mag holder, it feels like it fits my fingers better. It also seems to fit on the mag body a little better then the new one, so I carry the old style.

Check out this one. I replaced the base on my 7-rounder with the big aftermarket grip extension and like it much better.
