My wife bought a brand new k40 today. Took it apart, cleaned it, and tried to reassemble it. When i go to put the slide on, it wont go on all the way. Like something is catching and wont allow the slide to go back all the way. The barrel and spring are installed correctly. Even with the barrel and spring removed, the slide wont go on properly.
Hints, tips, suggestions?

Just out of curiosity, you don't have the slide stop in while trying to put the slide in? Just looking at the obvious.

try when it gets to that stop area to now pull the trigger and push the slide on.

The ejector was keeping it from sliding all the way back. Had to use a screwdriver to push down on the front of the ejector to get the slide back. I hoping it just needs to be broke in. It was a PITA!

The ejector catches on a couple of my Kahrs too. I just push it down with my thumb as the slide rides backwards. It's become the normal manner in which I manipulate the reassembly.
