I'm brand new to the forum and this is my first post. I picked up a Kahr PM9 Black with Night Sights this week and shot it last night for the first time. I put 200 rounds through it as per break in instructions. Then I put two mags of 147 gr. duty ammo through it. They are not kidding when Kahr says the pistol is tight and needs the 200 rounds to break it in. I had several issues with the slide not locking, FTF's and not going into battery. After 100 rounds it had smoothed out considerably and by 200 rounds the PM9 was running flawlessly. The recoil is light and the accuracy is good for a pistol of this type. I have read that other shooters thought the recoil was harsh but they must not have ever shot a 1911 let alone something like a 44 mag. This is definitely a keeper and I've already carried it concealed feeling at ease with it knowing I had an accurate reliable weapon.

Glad your first time out ended on a positive note.

I had some initial issues with my PM9 even before I took it to shoot, but my first trip to the range made me a believer. I am a female and do not find the recoil to be at all harsh compared to other guns I've shot. In fact, I rented a PM9 before buying one, and did a side-by-side comparison of the PM9 and the LCP, and overall I liked the PM9 better--fit my hand better, recoil felt more manageable, and I love the trigger on the PM9.

Welcome to the addiction. I started with a PM9 and then couldn't resist, I needed a MK9. That will have to tie me over till I get more gun $$. Then I might tackle the P380. They are great guns for sure!!!

Welcome. I agree with you about the recoil of the PM9. I consider it very mild for a small gun. I could shoot mine all day if I could afford the ammo.

Just a quick update, went to the range this morning and put about a box through the PM9. I was testing two new 7 round mags. and it was absolutely flawless. I really like the pistol and I will carry it regularly.

Qualified with the Kahr last evening. It was flawless and I shot 100%. It will be my go to concealed carry piece unless I can't conceal it then I'll go to the Sig P238 (also shot 100% with the Sig).
