my wife and i were returning from a trip to baton rouge and stopped in merridian ms for lunch at a new bbq in nice shopping center. when we walked out to get in tahoe i notticed a older lady carrying a black & white puppy heading for car next to ours. as i was opening drivers door my wife called jeff in a voice that i knew something was going on i looked and the lady with the puppy was crowding my wife and keeping her from getting in car. i yelled and the woman backed up. when i went around the car the woman held up a note saying she was mute and needed 12 more dollaers for a motel. the note was well worn and the 12 dollars was as worn as the note. what botters me is that both of us let the woman get to close when we both are careful to check our surroundings, the puppy completly threw us off and blew our training.:(

con artists at their best.
when the wife and I were in Europe last year on a river cruise, we were in some nice town (I forgot the name) and anyway I noticed this towl head gal walkin down the sidewalk where alot of people and tourist were. I noticed she never bothered what I thought was the town folk but went right up to americans with a peace of paper beggingi for money for food, It said she could not speak english but the worn note was written i english. When she came up to me I was wearing my Leather Harley Jacket and I told her to fokk off and u know what, she knew exactly what I was saying. Never trust a towell head who says they cannot speak english. those con artists are good at what they do..

wow some peoples children...reminds me of a con man I encountered in Jan Jose Costa Rica. I heard stories of a guy that spoke at least 4 languages fluently and would go up to tourists and tell them that he just got robbed and would ask for cab fare to get him back to his hotel...Interesting story until I met him face to face. The first time I was sitting on a bus, he climbed on the bus and speaking in english he gave his speech about being robbed. Lots of people on the bus gave him $$...I then ran into him outside a restaurant where he tried his speech on me one on one. I told him that I knew who he was and what he was doing. The shock on his face was priceless. One of the waiters called the cops as I was talking to him and when they showed up, he magically started speaking french and insisted that was the only language he spoke. The best part is he told the cops he was a french tourist that had been robbed and was trying to ask directions back to his hotel!!!!
