i bought a couple 8 rnd mags for my new CW9, and as expected, they hang down from the grip about and inch.
i've looked thru the kahr site and cannot find new mag base plates. i'm looking for a base plate that has the grip extension....or just the grip extension if it works with the factory flush fitting plate.
any leads where i can make the 8 rounders look like they are meant for this gun?

Try the 7 round extensions for a CM9? Should fit.

+1 on that, had the same prob with the k9 so I borrowed the base pad from my 7 rnd mag that goes to my CM9...works like a charm...
I am currently experimenting with 8-round 1911 magazines for my CW45 and had the same problem with the rather unsightly magazine hanging below the grip. On a hunch, I ordered a couple of X-Grip magazine adapters for the 1911 Officers Model and they appear to do the trick. The back of the adapter has cutouts that need a little shaping to conform with the grip contour and filling (which I did with glass bedding), but the fit is quite good and leaves just enough space between the adapter and the grip to ensure that the magazine gets fully seated. I wouldn't carry with those magazines in place, since they do lengthen the grip a bit much for concealed carry, but once they prove to be reliable they would make great backup magazines.
