Caliber : 9mm+P

Bullet: Two projectiles with each shot. One 115gr. JHP made to expand at lower velocity, followed by a 50gr. flat nosed hardcast bullet for a second wound channel with deep penetration.

Ballistics : 165gr @ 995fps / 365ft. lbs. from a Beretta 92FS.
Ruger SR9 - 900fps. / 297 ft lbs

Box of 20rds.

i just got this info in email from doubletap. you can read about it at doubletap.com. they make some good all copper barnes dpx loads.

Sounds incredible. No pictures of it on the website. I'd like to see what that double bullet configuration looks like and whether it will feed OK in my CM9.

They do picture their most likely similar 10mm "Equalizer" round. Can't be sure it is the same as their 9mm, but they are usually pretty responsive to emails.

Yeah, I think so too. Despite the cost, regular DoubleTap ammo is fun to shoot. However, the bullets they use in their 135 grain "fotay" round are so soft that they distort while feeding in my PM40. Doesn't seem to affect accuracy which is quite good. But, doesn't inspire confidence either.

Notice the oval shape of the nose of the round pictured below. It was cycled once through the pistol and ejected gently. That said, they do expand rather dramatically to .71" when shooting into water jugs, as you can see. Great fun!

+1 jocko. IMHO, stay away from this, or any other "gimmicky" stuff, and protect you & yours with the proven SD JHP's. Why chance it? :confused: :eek: :confused:
