I saw Midway has Remmington Golden Saber 230gr. 45 ACP ammo at $18 and cents a box of 25. So I bought 6 box's cause I never heard anything bad about them. Then at that price I thought maybe I missed hearing something. How about you guys, hear any negative about them?

Only thing I've heard about them, was they feed better than some other hollow points do. Some folks here use them in their EDC piece. I've seen them priced about that at CheaperThanDirt, they are a little higher right now. Only problem I've had with them, was the 185gr +P didn't want to feed right. A new recoil spring fixed that in my CW45.

I've not used them in .45.
Remington Golden Saber 357 magnum is my favorite round in the S&W 640-1.
Low recoil, clean and super accurate.
I think they are quality rounds, just older technology like Hydra Shok.

I need to surf the internet more and find these deals. Glad I didn't buy that box at the local toy store for $32. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Have a great Holiday.

GS is excellent ammo. My Sig 220 was awesome with the 230 grainers.

I like CorBon ammo to carry for "serious social purposes", however I do carry Golden Saber when the weather gets super hot and humid due to the nickel plated cases needing less care.

I used to really like the Bonded Remington Golden Sabers... 230-grain. I had to switch to Speer Gold Dots because the Bonded ones got scarce a few years ago. I still use those for my S&W 645 defense loads... the BONDED version... not to be confused with BJHP, which is Brass jacketed Hollow Points.
The Bonded version addresses the inadequate barrier penetration that the regular Golden Sabers were accused of.

For my PM45, I use the Speer 230-gr Gold Dots Short Barrel version.
