Some good advice and some not so. Most of you should not be surprised how location dependent the accuracy of his statements are. How you will be treated in NYC is vastly different than how you will be treated in say Austin under similiar circumstances.

For completely truthful and accurate advice seek the counsel of a local attorney that handles self defense cases. Even spend a few hundred for the advice/retainer. If the attorney will not give a a number where they can be reached 24/7 leave in a hurry and find one who will.

FWIW: The very last place in Texas you ever want to be involved in a self-defense shooting is Travis County (Austin). It's the only water hole for "progressive" anti-gun nuts between Berkeley, CA and Cambridge, MA.
