I'm looking for someone to make a nicely boned holsters for my wife's K9 and PM9 using my design.

Over the years the wife and I have had and tried different holsters with different opinions. Because of my perfect physic I don't have a problem with any holster.

My wife is a different matter. She's tried different holsters with almost the same problem that other women experience, because of their high hips and hour glass waist the gun butt digs into their ribs. This makes it hard grip the gun and to draw. The only partial solution she found was a paddle holster. For a man paddle holsters aren't very concealable, they imprint, but on a woman they tilt into the waist. The down side is getting them on and taking them off easily.

Many years ago a retired LEO made a holster for my wife based on an idea of mine. It's a combination of a quick release holster like this:

And a paddle holster. I had a quick release holster and didn't like it. It was quick to remove but a b!tch to put back on, especially one handed while carrying files in the other. So I came up with this idea. It's 2 pieces. One piece is the holster body, and the other piece is a double smooth sided, pliable paddle with belt snaps that slips into the waist band and supports the holster as it's snapped in place. The paddle is attached to the holster with Chicago screws. The really neat thing here for women like my wife that have hour glass waists is they can put shims in between the holster and the paddle to push the butt of the pistol away from the ribs

If there's any professional holster makers interested in this, I have pictures of the different parts

I don't make leather holsters, but I do make a drop offset out of kydex. Some women use them for IDPA. Here is a link to my site with some pictures.

Hi Paul
That's nice looking stuff but not what she's looking for. She looking for the same design only nicer looking. This is her EDC holster. She needs to be able to take it on and off easily depending on where she is and who she's visiting during the course of the day. The one pictured has been very good to her for about 9 years. It rides just as high as a man's holster but doesn't dig into her ribs. And easy to draw from. Her gun hides real easy under a vest or jacket.

Oh! I'm sure it's been said, but I'll say it again, "Welcome aboard"

Contact Doug at Bear Creek Holsters. Shoot him an email with your phone number, and he is more than glad to call you and discuss your wife's needs (ok, maybe I need to reword that, lol), and see if he can make you something similar. He makes GREAT holsters that look sharp.
