Bought a PM 45 on Gunbroker "LNIB" and it looked pretty clean on arrival. It wouldn't pick up first round using slide release.Mag seemed loose when loaded and inserted. I sent to mother ship and it returned with not "polished ramp, slide, shot to spec..."
First trip back to range, intermittant failure to pick up first round, better, but not right. Stovepipes nose up every time on Corbon DPX and Ranger Talon. One fail to eject, trapped brass in ejection port. Ate gold dot nicely, no issues there. I prefer to carry DPX, it's lighter and better performer in my estimation.
I spoke with Rich at factory, seemed very helpful, sent him text of jams and he said "try another 100 rounds, and let me know" I had issues with CW45 that required three trips back to mother ship to make perfect and other Kahrs are perfect, never an issue with nines or 40's.
Anyone else have ammo feed issues with their PM45? My ser # is sv2822 if that tells anything. Not sure total round count, I've done 150 probably and it was used, maybe 250 to 400 total.
Thanks in advance.

You sure the mag is seated properly? I had the same problem on my first outing with the p380(wouldn't pick up the first round), after I realized the mag wasn't seating properly the issue went away. No ideas on your other problems, hope you get out figured out add i'm in the market for a pm45.

You might look in the Tech section, in common fixed for CW45's and other polymer Kahrs or something like that.
There about 3rd or 4th post is mention of the stripper bevel. The front is angled a tad to allow the cartridge to get in front of it. A few got out with no bevel and the round just hits underneath and when the slide moves forward it just rides over the top.
Easy quick fix if yours looks like that.
Let us know if you can't find it, it's an excellent thread and a well deserved sticky.

Thanks Bawanna, I can always count on you.
I looked and it looks like the factory put a slightly uneven bevel on the front of the stripper. I'll run some more ammo and then probably have to send it back I bet. My guess is they did that with the "polish slide" part.
Maybe that's why it's better, but still intermittant.

Shot today and continue to have same issues, shot a 30 dollar box of Gold Dots and several stovepipes, pointed up and one jam where edge of round just stopped at bottom of feed ramp. I guess back to the mother ship again. 5 Kahrs, three perfect, CW45 back 4 times till dependable, I guess this one too. I'll send the mags back too this time, a gunsmith buddy gave a quick look and suggested feedlips needed to be bent a little. I'd just as soon have Kahr handle the issue on a carry weapon.
Maybe they will send me a magazine, if I could just get a couple I could rely on for carry...
Stovepipes and lack of feed are different issues.....
Can't say but... my two PM45's feed like zombies in Times Square on New Years Eve!

That's what I thought on the two different issues. I guess I'll ship 'em the whole lot of stuff and see what they can make of it.
Ethically, I can't just sell a CCW pistol with a known problem functioning, so I am in for the ride. The factory does always seem to get it right eventually.

You know, I haven't let someone else shoot it. I have had a failure and immediately placed the same magazine and ammo in the CW45 and it runs perfectly. I don't get limp wrist issues and I have a special deal at the range, I get to go in before the place opens with maybe an LEO or two at the range and shoot peacefully without the gangbanger types making You Tube videos of how impressive they are.
Good thought, but if turns out to be me, should I ship myself to Kahr? Will they send me a label big enough?

What I suggested was no relfelction on u directly, but merely stating that it could be a possability and it is very easy to test out. Hell things happen, we all ain't perfect. IMO the last thing anyone wants to do is send back a perfectly good working gun to get fixed when possably like u even stated a bigger return box is needed for the shooter. I doubt if it is u but I think u need to eliminate that possability..
If it works for another shooter then u should have n regrets in selling or trading in thegun either,

Nobody's perfect? Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious and please don't call me surely!

Partner, I certainly took no offense. I know you weren't digging at me. Maybe it's me, but I've shot an awful lot for a long time and I am going to take your suggestion before I go thru the hassle of another return. The thing I hate is every time an issue occurs, you spend half the value of the pistol on ammunition trying to make it reliable. Col. Jeff Cooper once said "Buying a gun doesn't any more make you armed than buying a guitar makes you a musician."
You know, my feeling is that you're trapped when you get a poor performing CCW pistol. Morally and ethically, I couldn't sell one like this, If someone tried to defend themselves with a gun I sold them and got shot while trying to clear a jam, I'd feel responsible. Sort of a catch 22 in .45 cal?? (bawanna, that was a good one, eh?)
Shirley you agree.

Surely so. Integrity is in short supply lately and I'm glad to see it's alive and well in your person.

Kind offer, I may take you up. I keep a boat at Cape Marina and am there frequently on weekends. Thanks.
