So I went to the worst gun show ever this morning at the local fairgrounds (first time to that one). 5 dollars to park and 8 dollars to get in to see 5 tables of guns and 395 tables of flea market stuff.

One highlight to the show was this. There was a guy in the back corner selling his black K9. There are usually not many K9's around here new because most folks stick to the "popular" models and dealers won't order a shelf model due to price. I picked it up and held it and that thing was really nice. You can tell the extra weight would make it really controllable and the way it fits in the hand was perfect. The finish was a little worn but otherwise it looked in good shape otherwise. He had a price tag of $425 on it and would have probably taken $400. If I had been in the market for one I would have had to get that one.

You can never go wrong with a K series, go buy it!

I was close. If it had been a K40 I may have done it. I'm shopping for a .45 just can't make up my mind. It may be a CW45 but I can't find one local to handle first which is kinda why I went to the show. I'm on the budget lately cause the wife got guns and a new car (not Kahr) early this year instead of me.

Around my neck of the woods you can usually find CWs but K series are impossible to find. I ended up having to order my K40 through Guns America.

Tampa, by any chance? I was there as well. I didn't see that k9...didn't see many good deals either. I did see a used cw9 for $469 and critical defense 9mm for $25 per box. lol All I ended up buying was a 1000 rd case of speer lawman 115gr for $209...can't complain about that price.

It was in Montgomery, AL. It was advertised as a HUGE 400 TABLE SHOW! Oh well, lesson learned.

Wow, sorry, I was sure we were at the same show. Fairgrounds, $5 parking, $8 entry, lots of crap.

It must have been run by the same group.

There is another one held here regularly by the Shriners that has some good dealers. Lots of guys there have anywhere from 5 to 20 tables of their own stuff. Some sell new guns and others have used ones for sale. I usually visit that show when it's in town. Others have tables full of holsters and accessories that are nice. One nice looking lady has her own setup all the time and sells AR uppers.

There is one guy there that I deal with if I have a trade because he gives a real fair trade value on your gun if you are getting a new one from him. I usually come out well dealing with him. I think I have bought 3 from him alone in the past 2 years.

Man, I must of lucked out then as I picked up my "like new" black K9 at a San Antonio gun show a few months back. I think you're right though, its been the only one I've seen since.

For me, it'd be the BHP. A Kahr K-9 would be a real close second.

That said, I carry # 3, a 1911 pattern .45 Commander, but the G 36 ain't awful.

You rarely see anything in the K9 family around here, in stores or at shows. I did see one vendor at a recent show that had a K40 and a K9 but its not common.

When I bought my used K40 about a year and a half ago, the dealer had two other K40s next to the black one I purchased. He also had two used PM 45s, which are pretty scarce. I wish I would have had a bit more cash on me that day.
