View Full Version : new cm9?/after range
bought new, field stripped and LP lubed and cleaned it. Nailjng the G27 & the kt380 @ short distance, but kahr 9 couldnt find the hole. Will that clear up any? Maybe me but other pistols do fine @ same target.

Sounds like you need to get used to the LOOOOONG but super smooth Kahr trigger. They do take some getting used to, but once done these things are super accurate!

O yeah! Welcome to the forum, and congrats on a super sweet gun! cm9's rock! :D

First time out with a Kahr, I couldn't shoot it very accurately at all. Worked at it and now I can shoot all rounds in an 11" plate at 25 yards with a PM40. Takes some trigger finger education and some patience. Anything under 15 yards, no problem getting good groups at all. Now.

I have kahr380 too, as i remember seems it was same to me. Lately i been shooting it close & good groups... Maybe ill get it soon. I ran ton of reloads thru it , copper plated and even lead bullets. LP /50 rounds-LP/100 rounds/LP, at rest now! Kept barrel clean and dry, looked lead free ....

get better, but ur kahr has a very looooong trigger by design. unlike the two guns u mentioned. I would not look for one hole groups though, unless u only shoot one shot:israel: Ihave thosands of round sout ofmy PM9 and I don't shoot it half as good as I do my G19 but I accept that also. It is not the gun but me but the trigger takes sometime to adjust to, I can tellyou one thing , u will never find a smoother trigger system than ur kahr.:israel:
Jocko, the loooong "word" got me kick started! thanks. Like the lil' keltec 380. I remembered, and went back to indoor today and put 40 thru it. I woke up and it was doing normal with the trigger pull. thanks for the tip.

Hi Mike - shot a few clips today. Did much better - target wise.

My groups are better with the G19 than the CM9 as well, but I'm still able to keep them all in an 8 inch target from ten yards. That's good enough for me. The trigger is hard to get used to. Practice, practice, practice.

I agree with everyone else, it does take some time to get used to, for me the second time to the range was that ahh yes moment! It is very accurate once you get it! Welcome and keep shooting her! :D

I was terrible the first time out with the CM9. After some retraining about trigger pull using snap caps and changing my grip a bit my groups got much better.

After a few hundred rounds with the CM9 and PM40, I decided to try the PM40 at 25 yards at a 8" plate, standing. Got 4 out of 5 on the plate this day.

One can learn to shoot the 3" guns pretty well, I think.

damn that is great and for a PM pocket rocket indceed great. Is that paper plate maytbe 3feet in diamter. ??? Just askin. If so, I think I could do that also.
That is very nice shooting though, Two of those 4 holes are damn near center even..
PS, IMO u really should not post photos like that as it gives some of us a real inferiorty complex:D

75 feet is a long way for a 8" target..... Nice shooting

I've always been pleasantly surprised at hot accurately the little guns can shoot when you have a little range time and some good conditions. A little different than a self defense situation, but, if I had to, I could shoot the little guns accurately at 10-15 yards.
Here is a 10 yard group with the same PM40 in around 10 seconds.

I am spoiled with my 4.4-5.0 inch guns, however. I can routinely shoot 3" groups at 25 yards with them. On a good day. Here is the best 25 yard group I've ever shot.

U ruined a nice paper plate, something that I would never do, all my paper plates after a range trip can go backin the stack. Just sayin.
