Got an e-mail this morning from Kahr Arms announcing Timothy Pearce as the new director of Customer Service and Consumer Sales. He was formerly with FNH USA as Product and Customer Support Mgr.
Will Kahr customer service improve now?

I suspect that's one of those questions that can only be answered over time. Let's ask it again in a year, i.e.; "Has CS improved since Tim Pearce took over?"

I think we've already seen the cost cutting approach and they have learned a valuable lesson. I truly think that Kahr is really on our the customers side. I have not drank a drop of their kool aid and they ain't sent me no fine scotch either but I know this to be true.
I wish the new guy well and hope he has an easy time of it but I suspect it's gonna be a challenge.
Imagine Jocko calling every 10 minutes whining about the new style as opposed to the good blunt nose. Gotta get old ya know.

I never needed Kahr CS, except when I sent my CW9 slide in for the Trij nite sights when they first came available. Ian (the original Ian) gave me shipping instructions, took my CC info, fast tracked the deal and I had my perfectly aligned sights/slide returned within 10 days of my putting it in the mail.
I have heard that occassionally someone actually needs warranty service, so I guess a CS guy is a good idea.

Sorta fond of my blunt nose myself. Or, are we talking about pistols?

I just sent my CW45 in today, for them to see why it refuses to feed from a 7 round mag. It never has a hitch with the 6 round mags, but the 7 rounders are jam-o-matic. The first time it went in, to repair the trigger not resetting after firing a shot, they had it back in my hands in exactly one week. That was about 19 months ago, I'll see how quick it's returned this time. Eon was great, sent me a Fed Ex label to print off, and it went back on their dime.

Well the only time I called CS was to offer to lend 'em a hand with quality control. Didn't mean to upset 'em but they seemed to have a strong opinion of where I should apply my quality control. Here I thought it took years to become a butt doctor but they gave pretty good instructions in about 2.75 seconds. Oh well... guess I'll hafta stick with my retirement after all.

Well, their opinion & the location where they told you to put your quality control certainly follows the old adage - "Opinions are like ********, everybody's got one". :D

I think Kahr is responding to what their customer base needs and we should be happy that they are listening. I dont think they need too redo the CS dept but a good polishing up will make a big difference IMHO.
I love my Kahr and hope that Kahr will continue to grow and expand their business. I would not hesitate to buy another Kahr product.
Flame suit on.... they need someone to completely redo their website and print ads though. The throw back dress and make up on the anorexic models seems out of place. Instead, they should focus on the concealment aspect, the quality and engineering along with being U.S made.

The model they are using is THIN because Kahrs claim to fame is the first really THIN CCW on the market...
I too hope the CS dept is revamping to be more even between employees and more informative during their process. Time will tell.

I don't know this guy from Adam, but it's probably like anything else in the corporate world. It isn't really one person that makes the difference unless that person is also given the budget and the freedom to make the necessary changes. If Kahr's top brass change the person but not the tools available to the person, then it isn't likely that anything will change.

I don't know about everyone else but if every gun from Kahr comes out a quality job I'd pay a lot for one. That's cheaper for them too than taking back guns for repair.
I know guy's that talk about Kahr's quality (mostly from past knowledge) and how it's not known widely. They should win the race through quality and not take the road that my current employer it trying too take.
Like Knkali said they should promote quality and engineering but I do like the babes on the website though.

Agreed yqtszhj! The design is good, really good IMO, but it seems like when they do drop the ball it's in the assembly. That and some outside supplied parts like Mags.
As for the website, it's never done much for me, but I really don't like the new Kahr Girl. She looks like she just climbed off the back of a Harley.

ok, I will change that then, from 10 honers to maybe 5. I did see something Ihave never seen before this weekend, I was r9ding home from Lexington KY on my trusty ol Harley from their state rally and I was day dreaming on I-65 and 18 black guys with red emblem club jackets of I have no idea WTF it meant came by me on their yup trusty HONDERS. All 18 f them. Yup u meet the nicest people on a Honder and behind them was a chase vehicle with One Triump on the trailer..
oh and the lead bike rider was wearing one of those Abe Lincoln type top hats. He had to be the grand poobah:banplease: I heard later on they were headed up to al sharpton's place as they were having a cook out. Just sayin
